yes, but you clearly don't comprehend the purpose of the board and of debate. if you have an opinion, you will have to demonstrate it in detail and give evidence for why you hold it... even if it is logical or biblical evidence and not "factual" evidence.

Apart from restating ideas previously established, this post of yours has a bit of merit, I must say NICE.I have thought of the "God views us as ants" hypothesis. BUTThis concept has then led me to this hard hitting illogical view of God:God plays favorites.This concept is invalid to my intepretation of a God.Your "God of the Jews" acts and does as a human.God is not a human.The only thing we can know for sure about God is that it exists. Nothing else.God doesn't have quality. Anything you may say to describe God is human. we had a thread about this once. the fundamentalists here strongly objected. personally, i don't think god himself is subject to human frailties, the but the interpretations of him found in the bible very often are. god is illogical? what, you mean... god didn't tell you?

if this is the case, then following the bible in any form is foolish because it is in human language and ascribes human qualities to god. if this is the case, then our consciousness and our understanding cannot describe god at all or know him, and there is no point to your discussion. however, the bible says that mankind is made in god's image. his means that god took himself and split it into charachteristics and gave these to the human creatures he created. he says himself he is love and jealous and such things.either you can comprehend god in human terms or you can't. and if you can't, then the bible cannot be a guide and jesus cannot be your god if only because the bible says he is wholly man as well as wholly god. if you can't comprehend god in human terms, he cannot be wholly man.and, i don't think god views us as ants, nor do i know where you got that idea from. he made us to be his companion, but that doesn't mean he has to be nicey-nice all the time.Edited by brennakimi, : No reason given.

1) Human life has no value if we assume that our lives evolved from a single cellular organism through random chance and mutation. We are here just because we arrived here.We will die oneday and disappear.
2) We were made for a purpose. In order to fulfil this purpose, everything was put in proper place and time so that we were made to accomplish that purpose. In this case our lives have value. Chemical analysis of human body shows that the total value in terms of chemicals is less than $5.00. Is this our value? No. It is lot more beyond. Who we are has more value than our titles, possessions and positions. Our intrinsic value is intangible. There is no price on this.

If we were made for somebody else's "purpose", then we are nothing but a commodity. The maker can always make more.On the other hand, if we came about becuse of some marvelous chance, we truly are one in a million million million million....
