Compass
Thanks. I did a similar one last year and ended up in the LL quadrant as I did here. Don't know if the numbers are really that quantifiable, but I am a little to the left and lower that Ghandi. That pleases me.
It would be interesting to have everyone post their numbers to see where the forum as whole lines up when plotted (similar to the other correlation questions).
ps -- I didn't think you couldn't not be a double negative ....
E -7.25 and S -7.33 and proud of it.

WWJD
It would be interesting to have several christians go through this with their opinion of what Jesus would have answered ....
... any takers?

or what they were measuring was the level of authoritarian versus anarchic government rather than personal belief?
I know of many christians that are personally against abortion but support legal freedom for it, it seems only the christian righteous need to impose their view on others ...
that aside -- what is your take on what would jesus do on the test?
maybe that will sort out some of your concerns?

WWJD
the question is posed in the light of the WWJD program, to think for yourself what his response would be.
Or are you afraid that he will turn out to be a liberal anarchist?

Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: 3.28
for my jesus interpretation

Re: WWJD according to Hoyle
so you are saying that it will not provide any valid relative results? Seems to me you are complaining because either (1) you took the test and did not like the results (especially as you talk about the questions) or (2) are afraid of what the result will be.
Why don't you put your comment to the test and post your results AND what you think jesus would answer and when all the results are in then we can discuss this further?

Re: And the grid Buz?
funny, it seems that conservatives have no trouble labeling people as liberal as if it is an insult. but when it comes to putting their chips down on the table they decline to play.
If it has a liberal bias wouldn't that show in the results? Personally I found a lot of question were leading to a more conservative position than I felt was justified, so perhaps it is just your biases lodged in your eyes.

dig
you're a conservative if you think it is better to re-elect a bad president than to try a different one, unless the president is a democrat.
you're a liberal if you think it is better to elect someone new than to re-elect a bad president.
It is never too late to stop going down the wrong road.
heh.

Conservative: It is better not to switch horses mid course... (especially when it's our time honored horse).
I thought the "tricky-dicky" version was
"Don't change dicks in the middle of a screw"
except in this case it is rape.

Re: Just to clarify
No if the test wasn't biased we WOULD have been pegged in the middle, see it?
only if your views really are in the middle. I find a lot of conservatives (heck most people) think they are near the middle, usually because they are unaware of the people on the other extreme.
here in west michigan I know I am not in the middle as a liberal. when I go back to Massachusetts, then I feel back in the middle again, while conservatives in MA feel like a fish out of water.
remember too that a liberal in Mississippi is a conservative in Massachusetts.
you may be more conservative than you think you are.
