Since I will never be living with a woman for the rest of my life (thank goodness!), it doesn't really matter to me if people want to treat them like dirt or not.
By the way, I'm kidding.

Too much off topic, closing down
This is an illustration of why topic drift control is important even in lite topics.
Someone can start version 2 if they wish (and supply a link back to this topic).

Is it one of those pictures where just as you got closer to see what's wrong with the picture it turns into a horrifying image?
My username is dedicated to a species of rare animal that is in danger of extinction because of a disease. Supposedly, if nothing is done, the species could be effectively extinct in a couple generations.
That and they are very loud when mating... just like me...

My username is the name of the Swedish progressive rock band Anglagard
Unfortunately they are far closer to extinction than a California Condor.

Isn't that the Black Vulture, whose genus is Coragyps i.e. one of the members here?

probably posted this somewhere else, but . . .
my profile name here is simply the closest japanese approximation of "Chris" that I'm aware of. Obviously (I hope), Chris is my name.
Now I'm just trying to figure out how an atheist got branded with the name "Christ-Bearer (Bringer)".

Re: The Mysterious Crashfrog
I knew a guy in college who decided that, since girls only went for guys with severe emotional problems, he was going to develop a severe emotional problem. Namely, he was going to refer to himself in the third person. But not by his name... rather by the name of his alter-ego, Rick Smooth.
I think the question we all have now is, did it work?

Mi Nombre?
Hiya, folks! My name comes from my parents, when they decided to call me Jonathan . As for my other (500+) usernames... well:
”Invictus - Latin (I hope) for 'victory'
”Trékuhrid - This is from a programme I made to 'translate' English words into some code... I don't remember what it originally was supposed to be... something with Jesus, though.
”Jon of the Future - This was when I made the avatar of myself as a stumbling drunk incapable of thought... he reminded me of myself in 2045
”Virginian for Christ - Got a suspension for this one. I signed up as a Fudnie with a fake name 'Virginia for Christ.' Phat phound me out, of course, suspended me, and then merged the stupid Fundie with my real account
”Gremled - Phat used to call me a 'gremlin' (still does), and so when I tricked someone I was said 'to gremle' them. If you are tricked by me, you've been Gremled!
”Hoc Xatdf - Remember that programme that makes things into code? This is what you get for 'gift from God', the original meaning of 'Jonathan' in Hebrew.
”Todd - Named after one of Phat 'special phriends'
”Jonicus Maximus - Because I rule.
”Jon L - L, my middle initial. I tried 'L.' but the server turned it down... then it ended up showing up anyway, after I created a second one without the period.
”I+=/+=/ - I kept trying with the symbols until the server accepted the name I entered... then, like with Jon L., all the previous tries I made suddenly showed up .
Anyway... c'mon folks! I wanna know why you all pick such funky names! And, what's the deal with all your other aliases, where did they come from?
Jon

What's in a name?
Rail Bird - dual meaning
1)I’m not much of a debater, so I sit on the rail and watch those of you who are more talented.
2)I love (addicted might be a more apt description) to attend, handicap, and bet on horse races.

Mine's just the name of the dino-bird altered to look like a personal name. I'm a bit of a dinosaur and a bit of a bird myself. Like most people.
I used Archer to avoid using Archie. Never much cared for that orange-headed teenage cartoon character. I'd be happy to treat Veronica to a Taiwan beach weekend, though, once she finally turns eighteen.
The 'archer' image never occurred to me until I saw comments. 'Where are your arrows, Archer?' 'Archer hit the bull's eye', etc.
Other nicknames:

Arc
Leviathan
Robin Hood
Rob's Worst Nightmare

On misreading names
I think someone mentioned the same before - I usually read "Onifre" as "Onfire".
Likewise, I usually read "Cavediver" as "cadiver" (sic, aka "Cadaver").
Per my own name - It would seem to be correctly pronounced as "Minn-e-moose-us", but I pronounce it as "Minn-e-moos-e-us".

Sadly, all too appropriate for many who have who have followed the pursuit
