Re: Babylon (Akkad) was site of enslavement and exodus.
i'm not sure if this is continuing the "joke" line of this thread or not, but i had something of a similar idea a while ago: that perhaps the exodus was written not about egypt, but babylon. since most of the contruction of the torah dates to this time, it's possible that it "egypt" was a kind of code-word for babylon, to not piss off their captors.
I have it on good authority that the Exodus was to Miami.

I just personally led millions to denver, about two months ago.

USELESS thREAD
I see this thread is headed back to where it started - BIGOTED BABBLE BANTERINGLY BASHING BIBLICAL BELIEVER'S BELIEFS..
Have fun. We Biblicalists, unlike Mohammed's Quranists and some other less tolerant ideologies are thick skinned but I've got better stuff to do. Keep an eye on my debate with Brian on this. There's more to come there on this reed sea location and other Exodus stuff you won't want to miss.

Re: USELESS thREAD
I have to admit that your recent posts in the debate with Brian have been funnier, but it's hardly been productive. I can't even tell if you're trying to support Exodus as history (which I'd expect you to do) or arguing that it's a highly distorted memory of the Hyksos expulsion.
On the other handd my Message 68 here was not just "bashing" or mockery. You want to try to discuss the Tempest Stele - the text is there. You want to say that it supports Exodus ? Then show how it does.

Re: USELESS thREAD
It's not bigotery - however it might be in poor taste if you believe that Wyatt was rug-chewing mad and would have benefited from a serious period of time in an asylum rather than a scam artist.

Hi Paul. You're right. You weren't babbling or bashing. I was referring to the thread at large.
We're going slow on the debate which is ok with me. Presently I am waiting for a response as to where the Hyksos were suppose to have went according to Brian. We know where the Israelites ended up. The question is where they came from so far as history goes and the Tempest Stele seems to lend some evidence to that.
As for your quotes, I see they aren't complete. I need to check that out. My Stele link cites other stuff relevant to the Exodus. I don't really want to get debating extensively on a peanut gallery Exodus thread along with the GD. This thread is too messed up for much serious discussion as it wasn't really set up for that purpose. It's for harassment by hilarious hellions.

My claims, yes, of course. Do you think I'd agree to a debate on something I couldn't show some credible evidence for? I have never claimed to subscribe to all of Wyatt's claims. I go with his Noah's ark site but not necessarily all he claims about it. The same goes with his Exodus research. He discovered the site and others more educated and equipped did the research including the photography of the underwater debris.

How about backup with some evidence that there's uiversal acceptance among knowledgeable scholars on this bizzare hypothesis?

am i the only one who sees a problem here?
bashing bible believers = bad
ridiculing quran believers = good?
maybe if you want people to stop doing something, the first thing you should do is stop doing it yourself. (you do however get points for alliteration)

one is the foot in the door for the other. ANY historical backing is better than NO historical backing. and ANY historical backing = 100% inerrant.

Re: USELESS thREAD
The Stele itself isn't complete - I'm pretty sure that the missing lines are missing from the Stele itself. I suggest that you check your sources carefully and make sure that they actually claim that there other material actually comes from the Stele - and if they do try to verify it.
(I've checked the page on touregypt.com you cited and the quotes attributed to the Tempest Stele appear in the translation I found. I also suspect that you haven't investigated your source very thoroughly - if you go to Edfu Books | Books by Ralph Ellis and click out their "Books" link you'll see that Ralph Ellis also claims:
"Adam and Eve were Akhenaton and Nefertiti." (Akhnaten ruled later than Ahmose, so Ellis dates Adam and Eve to AFTER the Exodus !)
"Jesus married his sister, Mary Magdelene."
"Mt. Sinai is the Great Pyramid of Giza"
"The Temple of Solomon discovered - in Egypt"
Ellis appears to be a sensationalist who will say almost anything. He's certainly not someone I would consider a reliable source)

Factual information confronts. Falacious photography and fraudulent fabrication obfuscates factual information.

I suppose you could attach your word to the beginning of the statement and call it your work.
