I'm sure many of you are familiar with the many laws of thermodynamics. i've seen many articles that were totally stupid and painfully mispresented that argue evolution impossible via thermodynamics, so i've decided to throw physics back in their face. one can extract a very important principal from even the most basic laws of thermodynamics. the principal i'd like to discuss is energy conservation. energy cannot be created or destroyed, only changed in nature. if this is the case, all matter and energy has always been in the universe, and any other situation could never have arisen. because energy cannot be created or destroyed, the universe was never built, it never started, it never began, it will never end, it merely changes its arrangement, and has always has been. the nature of energy, and it's conservation assert that its existence has simply been the norm forever. the universe never began, it always was. perhaps the "big bang" was not so much a begining, as it was simply a massive change of state. to say a force or individual created the universe goes against laws that have been observed since the begining of time, and have become widely understood and accepted. to understand this you have to extend your mind, and let go of linear thinking that everything must have a begining, middle, and end. that is the nature of life, but not the nature of energy and matter.

tentatively rejected
Disproving creation implies persuading creationists that you are right. They won't be persuaded, because they believe in miracles.
In my estimation, you won't have many responses from creationists, but you might see some disagreement with your views on big bang. So this would probably go off topic.
I will leave the thread open. Maybe other administrators will disagree with me and decide to promote the topic.
Feel free to post a response.

I'm a little more optimistic than NWR, but could you attempt a revision where you use paragraphs and capitalization so I can give better suggestions? Don't edit your post, post a new one to this thread. This is because threads aren't marked as having new messages if a post is edited, only if a new message is posted.

be LIE ve? shall we go on with this?

Think of it as a bit of easy homework! Concentrate on the punctuation and polish the opening post up a bit so that we can then promote your topic. I know that we sound a bit like annoying English teachers, but we like to make our Opening Posts look concise, to the point, and on point! Let me show you an example, using your own opening postThis is my version...feel free to use or modify any of my suggestions)

One can extract a very important principal from even the most basic laws of thermodynamics:
Energy cannot be created or destroyed, only changed in nature, right? All matter and energy has always been in the universe, and any other situation could never have arisen. Perhaps the "big bang" was not so much a beginning, as it was simply a massive rearrangement.
To say a force or individual created the universe goes against laws that have been since the beginning of time, and have become widely understood and accepted.
In order to understand this you have to extend your mind, and let go of linear thinking that everything must have a beginning, middle, and end. that is the nature of life, but not the nature of energy and matter. Any comments?
Also, we would have to select a forum to put the topic in. Where would you put it>? Cosmology? Is It Science? Get back to us with your own revision if you still want to promote the topic.

Re: be LIE ve? shall we go on with this?
i apologize, i was born dyslexic and writing, syntax, and grammer give me alot of trouble. i struggled with it through college, and to this day have trouble reading and writing proficiently. the topic i feel is interesting, but relatively pointless. most members of this board have their 2 cents, and will keep them no matter what any one person says or does. its more a place of simple argument than anything else. evolutionists will be evolutionists, and creationists will be creationists. people here will hold their views, and rarely open up their mind if any hint suggests their thinking is flawed. not that any one of us has the right to tell anyone else what to think. i appreciate your input though.

If you'd like your thread proposal released, just post a new message here to this thread with the modifications. You can start with your original and edit that, or with Phat's and edit that, whatever's easiest for you. Seems like a good topic worth releasing, your concerns about how many will be converted notwithstanding.

Keep thinking and reading!
be LIE ve, I appreciate your input and honesty! A forum is a place to exchange ideas and beliefs, to be sure, yet it is also a place to get to know people and to let yourself be heard. I will keep you in mind as far as your challenges go with vocabulary and punctuation, and if you ever need help expressing yourself or composing an opening topic, feel free to e-mail me or contact me here in the PNT forum and we can together work out your expression and intent! I respect you for opening up to me and as you get to know the many creationists and evolutionists here at EvC, you will find some unique differences among us. Keep active in other topics and express yourself as well as you can! Its good for all of us to be able to communicate and hear each others views! Keep it up!
