the supreme court recently refused to hear two "religious" cases.
http://news.yahoo.com/..._on_go_su_co/scotus_religious_cases
jobsanger: Supreme Court Refuses Two Religious Cases
(both articles talk about both cases)
the first requires faith-based charities to provide insurance coverage for birth control (because their primary aim is charitable and not religious and because they hire people of various belief structures).
the second prevents a church from forcing a public library to allow them to hold worship services in the library meeting room (because the library rooms are there for community purposes, but that does not mean that any remotely community-related activity may be held there).
religion in the news or social issues or something. i quite think coffee house is fine, but it's potentially icky, so i thought i'd submit for review.
