Sig files: Debate... or going too far?

I've seen some people admonished in the past for their sig. files, and ... I have nothing against 'GoodIntentions' and I really know nothing about the poster, but ...This poster has a quote from another poster as his sig. file. Especially since I think the quote is not there for any good reason, I was surprised to see it. You can link it here.If somebody did this to me, it would just make me mad. In my view, that's disrespectful. Where I come from, we call that 'trying to show somebody up.'There's debate, and then there's things beyond. To me, this is beyond. I wanted to post this and see what others thought. I think in general I'm much more conservative in my approach than others, so this could be just another instance of that.Thanks!

OK, once again I'm slow on getting to these things.For the record, the most recent message (as I type this) from GoodIntentions is here, posted 12-3-04.I think such signatures are of most questionable taste and merit. I STRONGLY suggest GoodIntentions cease using that signature.I'm not going to track down the messages with that "signature", and shut the thing off, but I think it would be a nice gesture on GoodIntentions' part is s/he did such.Adminnemooseus
