I wanted to start this topic in order to arrive at a consensus as to what the definition of creation means.
The dictionary defines creation as:
Creation= The divine act by which, according to various religious and philosophical traditions, the world was brought into existence.
But it also mentions that creation is defined as:
An original product of human invention or artistic imagination
In that context, some would believe that creation is an absolute action by an Absolute Creator.
Others would argue that religion, philosophy, and even science..to a degree are all products of the artistic imagination.
Personally, I believe in God and that He created/imagined us long before we evolved to a level that could begin to comprehend Him.
Its just a belief, though. I can't declare my belief as a fact.

Closed unpromoted on 8/1/08
I suggest starting with a definition, either of creation or creationism, from an organization like ICR or AIG.
