Just for the sake of light discussion, what's everybody doing now that summer's officially here for all us highschool punks(Not that I care about the rest of your that aren't )? Don't know why I'm asking, but I'll be interested in seeing if any debate pops up from this.

Rub what in?
90 in the shade is not much to crow about. Of course, it's not quite that hot yet, but it will be soon. It's beautiful today. The humidity's low and it feels great. Quite a change from the earlier part of the week; we had severe storms between midnight and dawn here for four days in a row. Even though the days were mostly cloudy with temps in the 80s, it was so steamy that being outdoors was unbearable unless you were in a swimming pool. Today is the sort of day when I like to crank up the stereo and listen to Mungo Jerry's In The Summertime. I think I'll do that right now!

Sorry for all of you suffering from high humidity. Nothing better than living in the high desert. 85 F and 20% humidity, gotta love it. Plans for the summer vary day to day. Planning a luau this weekend, with many BBQ's yet to come. Trips to the river, throwing frisbee with the dogs in the park, fly fishing, hiking, camping, golf, tennis. Everything I wasn't able to do during the winter. I don't ski, so I look forward to summer starting about November.

BBQ is awesome
with many BBQ's yet to come I feel ya. Barbeque is awesome, and if anyone's opinion differs, their opinion is wrong.

I made BBQ ribs today, but I did it in a crockpot. I have a fairly large crockpot. I like to cut up an onion and throw it in with some beef ribs. Add a bottle of your favorite BBQ sauce and some beer then slow cook for about 8 to 10 hours. Yum!

Ribs be good. Fire up the grill with Mesquite. Let is cook down to just coals. Meantime cook a base of crushed and seeded tomatoes, sliced Vidalia Onions, 1/8 cup Lea & Perrins, 1/4 cup brown sugar, 1/4 cup seedless rasberry preserves. Run out back and pick three or four chilies off one of the bushes and dice them before adding to the glaze. Brush the ribs and use the balance to baste the ribs while they cook. Once the fire is down to coals, slap on the babybacks. Then while waiting, chill the Shiner. Aslan is not a Tame Lion

Summer isn't here yet for us in Michigan. It's still in the 50's at night, sometimes even the 40's, with highs in the 70's.
