I'm not sure what your point was 14 years ago, but if you mean is it a concern for one species of animal to breed with or become genetically fused to another, I'm not sure how humans would be involved, seeing as how we are the only species that even is capable of making such decisions.
Moreso, after reading the news this morning, I was impressed with how unlike animals humans actually are. We do things to each other that are far worse. No animals would ever band together to do something such as this:

I've heard that chimpanzees can be quite violent, whereas Bonobos and even Gorillas are quite peaceful by comparison.
