A Great Debate proposal: seat swap

I propose a Great Debate topic where Randman and his choice of the supporters of Evolution have it out on the topic of is Abiogenesis part of evolution or not.But here is the twist Rand must argue the Evolutionist side and the Evo must argue the Creationist side.All I will ask is that I’m not chosen as I am not conversant enough with the bible as to be able to quote it Chapter and verse ( a skill I fear would be needed to do this justice){Title edit - Changed "GB" (which should have been "GD") to "Great Debate". - Adminnemooseus)This message has been edited by Adminnemooseus, 11-20-2005 10:17 AM

The idea of arguing for the reverse position was tried in Upside-down Day (see also Upside Down Day Comment Thread). It was setup as a general discussion thread, rather than a Great Debate thread.In my opinion, it didn't work out all that well. I doubt that making it a GD would have changed that.I will leave this PNT open for a while. If there is are evolutionists who really want to do this, they should post their application(s) to Topic Proposal Issues. If there are one or more applicants, then randman can post to the same thread as the applicants, to indicate his willingness to participate. Or, if he prefers, he can post that he is not willing (and without waiting for applicants).If ohnhai wishes to refine the idea, or make other related suggestions, he should reply to this message.
