After watching the matrix movies, I did some personal studying of the bible (trying to give meanings/interpretation to the symbolism and events from the movies and correlate it to knowledge I've found on internet and wiki-ing, getting things in perspective sort of speak), and I wanted to post this (in case it gets lost). Sorry, it's more of a creative thing instead of a debatable topic, but it's a worthy read nonetheless (I think). A bit of a leftover I needed to share.

Note how Genesis resembles the scene where Neo encounters Deus Ex Machina (Neo was the Word, Deus Ex the face of the Deep). And the connector relates to The Little Horn mentioned in Revelations). Neo's fight with Smith relates to Armageddon and Gap Theory. The Scene with the architect refers to Judgement Day, Neo's vision relates to the vision from Daniel mentioned in the bible, and the scene where oracle sits on a bench in a park relates to Garden of Eden (and Sabbath).

In the beginning, God created the heaven and the earth. And the earth was without form, and void, and darkness was on the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. And God said, "Let there be light" and there was light. And God saw the light; that it was good, and God divided the light from the darkness. And God called the light Day and the darkness He called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day. And God said, "Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters and let it divide the waters from the waters." And God made the firmament, which divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament. And God called the firmament Heaven. And the evening and the morning were the second day.
Logos.

The Movie Thread
Since you agree this isn't really a topic for debate, I suggest you post your thoughts in "The Movie Thread" which is in the Coffee House forum.
I will be closing this proposal later today.
