scifi channel sucks.
are they playing anything good? ie: from when the series was still on shotime? everything after that pretty much sucked, hard. scifi has a way of ruining bad shows. they ruined this, sliders, tales from a parallel universe... actually, that one was hard to ruin. it was bad to begin with. but change the female model, the name of the show ("lexx") make it family friendly, and BAD camp instead of good camp, and it'll do it. the quality in general of scifi has just gone down. they're playing these low-budget terrible straight-to-video c movies now. i mean, they played "curse of the komodo!" that movie was so awful it was awesome. giant poison-spitting man-eating lizards, a horrible tan-lined bad tit-job, an inexplicable australian accent, a casino hiest, a helicopter crash, big guns, a volcano and ZOMBIES! it doesn't get any worse. and they're making really bad miniseries left and right. everything after "dune" was bad, including "children of dune."

You see the one with the dinosaurs, they're on a volcano. It has an anti-communist message at the end. ha... The dinosuars looked like they were from a video game from 95. ha...

My dad has all the seasons you can get on DVD. I stole season 4 and 5 from him.  (umm I'll bring them back I promise....) I am still trying to watch them in sequence. Need season 6,7,8 and whatever it is at now. No TV here. Watch them on my laptop. Forced my girlfriend to watch them with me, so now she is hooked! I didn't think Children of Dune was that bad... only seen it once mind you. But for a couple of "unfilmable" books, they seemed to do a reasonable job, and I thought it was better than the Dune mini-series. Actually, perhaps I only liked it because of Alia

Guess you saw the Earthsea mini series, then. yes, i did. i hadn't even read the book it was based on, and it was bad. my father HAD read the book, and complained all the way through it -- for instance apparently one of the major driving factors of the story is the issue of RACE. the main character was supposed to be black.

Kinda embarrassing for me. I've been working somewhat harder than I'm used to. Unfortunately, the fatique got the better of me. Right in the middle of an episode and 5 other people, I fell asleep. When I woke up, I was in my friend's bed and it was morning. Honest to goodness, I didn't even have a drop of alcohol.

Well... I hope at least the extra sleep paid off. Man last time I did something like that was at a SuperBowl party a few years ago. But then again, I'm the guy who used to fall asleep during lunch because I got bored with my co-workers' Seinfeld-esque chit-chat. So I'm probably not a good barometer for these types of things. I can't stand to watch too many SG-1 reruns at a time, especially since I feel like I've seen practically all the old ones. After all, that's what Monday night is for, right?
