REAL and/or Fraud and simply a FAKE Let's ask so we can find out Unfortunately, all the "books" available (at the news-stand) seem that they don't contain sufficient information to determine the nature of shroud (Shroud of Turin) However of the main (diverse) viewpoints; MOST suggest against the Miraculous or Supernatural Explanations,. (?) So, The shroud Relic as, viewed by some, the image became "miraculously imprinted" ? And Is it the true representation of actual burial cloth of a Crucified man (e.g. most likely Christ's passion) or not ?

It was found that samples from control areas showed no significant oxide pigment and l9 samples from body and blood image areas showed light to heavy concentrations of iron oxide. Not according to some who say McCrone isn't the end of this, by a long shot. I guess there is something about his motives in "when" he wanted to publish They did suggest he beat his wife (but maybe they did and I missed that part) As mentioned Because it was some time before McCrone allowed the electron optics group to touch or look at his finding? How anyone would become his detractor(s) I won't say. But there's blog (after blog almost daily) talking of "Spectrographic and radiographic tests do not support his claims" I can't tell. Can you tell? Whatever the case, I do not and cannot understand why anything could explain the claim that wet paint would "ever" have touched the Shroud. With that I would be amiss not to comment once again Shroudies talk of the Shroud being "touch(ed -ing) by wet paint" (of dry being distributed onto the image areas) Not a Saint, but medeval "Paint" (Not a Saint, I kill me) are they really quite unnecessary?

    Re: Welcome to EvC
Beyond that what would it read like if a topic and/or Heading went along the lines of "Science applied to the TurinShroud" Also, I wanted to know, can I like relative academic or sources as a FootN0te:
    Ex (Example)
Morris, R.A., L.A. Schwalbe and J.R. London, "X-Ray Fluorescence Investigation of the Shroud of Turin," X-Ray Spectrometry, Vol. 9, No. 2

    Topic Exists
After reviewing your topic proposal and searching through existing threads I found a current topic concerning the Shroud of Turin which has been revived this year.
I feel that what you wish to discuss can be discussed in that thread.

Yes you can use footnotes. Per the forum guidelines we ask that you never include material that is not your own without attribution to the original source.
You can also link to URLs and use the quote boxes to contain portions quoted from book or internet sources. For Example:
Excerpt from Science, Archaeology, and the Shroud of Turin
They found that "10 samples from control areas showed no significant oxide pigment and l9 samples from body and blood image areas showed light to heavy concentrations of iron oxide".
I will leave this thread open for a few days, in case you have any more questions.
Again welcome and enjoy the debate.
