If this forum is morphing into a sewer of ravings from a paranoid psycho, then I guess it's not the place for me.
Over the years I've come here to learn new stuff involving science. Other aspects of human activities were always part of this forum too, but lately it seems like a couple posters are doing nothing but throwing shit pies and splattering everything. Not much science learning happening here any more.
This was the best science discussion forum I have ever encountered after 25 years on the WWW and more years before that on the "internet". It has been well designed and managed by Percy and we have had hundreds of brilliant, inciteful, and articulate participants from around the planet and a myriad of different backgrounds.
There has always been bullshit too, but my BS Meter has gone past EXTREME several times now and is all set to explode!

Unfortunately such ravings are simple evidence of today's reality and it's best if we allow them if only as a way of truly gauging the threat to rationality.

Oh, I'm not saying disallow them, but if that's all that's happening here I don't have time for it.

It bothers me, too, but the big problem faced by the site is the lack of new members. We are dying. Google began evolving their requirements for search around a decade ago with the result that EvC now rarely appears in search results. I wish I could fix it, but my skills don't lie in that direction. I think more new members would improve the situation.
