Hello, EvC.
I've been away for a couple months now. I left in the middle of a debate that I now have no intention of continuing. It was a combination of bad timing and depression that made me decide it was time to leave.
As a graduate student in biology, my time becomes very limited during spring and summer (the field season), which usually begins near the beginning of May for me.
Also, I have a tendency to get very deep into my debates, and my perfectionist mindset means I take hours to compose even modest-length posts. But, I have a hard time letting go once I've started, and the usual result is a lot of wasted time, plummeting productivity at work, and an incessant sour mood.
So, I want to apologize for my strange behavior, specifically to Ringo and Paul this time, but also to anybody who's experienced my irrational obsession with parochial discussion points. I hope to be able to continue participating here (because I really like this place), though at a more relaxed pace than usual. Chances are good that I will slip up several times and fail to be moderate, but I regard this as a new personal challenge of sorts .
Anyway, I'm back. Sorry if this upsets any of you.

Darwin loves you.
