It has been suggested by some scientists that some chemical imbalance resulting from near death causes hallucination of seeing a "light." This explains why some brain cancer patients experience this hallucination as well.

I've read that too.
There seems to be a more scientific explaination for it than a theological one. One thing that happens that primarily precursers death, is loss of oxygen to the brain (breathing becomes shallow and/or stops)...this same loss of function causes tunnel vision in high G forces or any time the brain is deprived of an oxygen source....sooo....
Don't walk toward the light unless you are absolutely sure you are dead.

IN all likelyhood if you are dead you won't be walking anywhere.
I had an NDE, no light though, just a feeling of being in a warm, comfortable bed and not really wanting to listen to the voices calling my name.

Freedom, morality, and the human dignity of the individual consists precisely in
this; that he does good not because he is forced to do so, but because he freely
conceives it, wants it, and loves it.

Not unless you have a seizure and CPR before waking everyday.

It has been suggested by the Bible that absence "God sense" the senseless one will use their talents to offer every ridiculous explanation in place of the Bible's.

Oh really?
You, are the centre of the universe? Ya' know pal, the Bible is remiss in the explaination of a LOT of things, and the biggest thing is that it calls anybody that questions it a fool...lets review...
Intelligent people don't take what they are taught for fact, they seek the truth on their own...the Bible (with that now infamous saying) discourages the truth being sought.
Why would the authors of the ancient text need to expound upon the point that if you question the herein, you are a fool?...what were they afraid of?...what difference could it possibly make if it's questioned but it's true?
I think perhaps that your arguement should be with the authors you don't question. Ask yourself, what difference does it make to them if I question it....unless of course, they weren't certain about what they'd written.

Don't walk towards the light because it is really a bug zapper.

It has been suggested by me that in the absence of logic and commonsense, you are left with nonesense, or even worse, a biblical explanation.

falsifiability
Your statement proves nothing. Several of the origanal psychologists had reasons for every single behaviour of a man. However they used different reasons, each explaining exactly the same action. All u have done is put up an opinion that cant ever be refuted, not because it is right, but because of its context.
There are several different, and each true, scientific reasons why we may see a light when we die. And personally id rather believe that it has natural causes rather than supernatural.
I often wonder why people believe in god nowadays, although i believe we naturally seek a leader/father figure, we've manage to fight our programming on so many other fronts, and a lot of people have done so on this one.

"Out, out brief candle" When I was working on a Medical/Surgical floor a patient that was terminal and had signed Do Not Resusitate paper work. She had stated that on this paticular day she was going to die at 2:00 pm. So around a quarter till 2 alot of the nurses gathered in her room to comfort her.. Indeed she looked horrible and ready to pass on any moment. She began to mumble something...I leaned closer with the others to hear.. she said...."the....door..." one of the nurses said what about the door? she again said..."the...door." So a nurse said in a nice comforting voice. "Go through the door." to which the old lady replied...Would you all get out of my room and shut the door!! We all had a good laugh.
