The "Posts of the Month" forum index page.
These topics listed at the above page are still available for additions.----- Now for November 2003 (as per previous months):
quote: A link to the message, and perhap a SHORT comment would also be nice. But, this is NOT a place to debate the referenced topic - so be nice. I think that a fairly liberal use of this topic would be a good thing for indexing some nice messages that are otherwise doomed to be lost in the clutter. So, if you encounter a message that seems to say something of special substance, please give it a plug/reference in this topic. New month, same old message and routine,Adminnemooseus

Forum : Evolution Thread : Quiz and Evolutionary Biology Post #:68 See this post for context. I can already hear Mammuthus laughing from the Paulaner stall. {I originally posted this in the October POTM thread, but I've since been told that EVC Forum doesn't go by the fiscal calendar. Thus, Zhimbo, this accolade spans two months.} ------------------The bear thought his son could talk in space about the time matter has to rotate but twisted heaven instead. -Brad McFall |

Dear admin, should personal 'post of the month' be up for scrutiny, or is this just a recent phenomenon?

Seems to be a gray area sort of thing.
My interpretation, is that message 2 is not literally in violation of "Posts of the Month" guidlines. The practical reality, is that the message is bringing the debate into this forum. I would prefer NOT to have nominations such as MrHambres message 2, appearing in the "Posts of the Month" forum. The mike the wiz nominated message was (no surprise) further debated in the source topic. Please take any further discussion of this matter, to the appropriate topic listed below. Forum : Faith and Belief Thread : Reciprocal Prayer - For Mike and Buz Post #: 1 I must compliment Dan, who has managed to (in his own twisted little way) launch a new topic in a realm (realm - pet word of Moose) that hasn't been previously been talked to death. Moose

Forum : Is It Science? Thread : Absence of evidence IS evidence of absence Post #: 1 I above complimented Dan, for starting what I thought was a nice, fresh topic. I compliment DNAunion even heavier, for starting the above cited topic. It's been one that I've been thinking about starting myself, for many months now. But I've started far too many topics already, only to be frequently feeble in contributing further messages. Moose ps: Note that this is the same DNAunion that Adminnemooseus was threatening to suspend a day or two ago . A heck, I'll make it a double header. I really like the below topic also. Forum: Is it Science Thread: Methodological Naturalism Post:67 Before taking a couple of EvC free days, I give this post my Mammuthus two thumbs up (well, I would if mammoths were not extinct and had opposable thumbs). A very nice summary of how MN yields success and alternatives to MN can only fail.

I hate it when TWO people beat me to the punch on a nomination. Bloody Europeans, cheating just 'cause the terminator hits them first...
Mr.H gets two additional thumbs up for that post. The ol' boy keeps this up, we're looking at the next Pennock...
