The "Posts of the Month" forum index page.
These topics listed at the above page are still available for additions.----- Now for November 2004 (as per previous months):
quote: A link to the message, and perhap a SHORT comment would also be nice. But, this is NOT a place to debate the referenced topic - so be nice. I think that a fairly liberal use of this topic would be a good thing for indexing some nice messages that are otherwise doomed to be lost in the clutter. So, if you encounter a message that seems to say something of special substance, please give it a plug/reference in this topic. New month, same old message and routine,Adminnemooseus |

Forum: Boot Camp Thread: A Prescribed Evolutionary Hypothesis (from John A. Davison) Post #: 3 This seems to be a rare instance of my not being able to follow Brad's reasonings purely because of my very weak biology background. I look forward to JAD's responce to the above cited. Moose {Note: Adminnemooseus's formating tweaks of the cited were quite minor.}

Forum: Faith and Belief Thread: How do we know God is "Good"? Post #: 49 A balanced, eloquent post from the heart that does a great job of directly responding to an age-old question that is usually side-stepped. Also one of those rare long posts where every word has value. Thanks for the wisdom...

Thank you though I would hardly call it wisdom, more mere ramblin'. But I do think that has been one of the more productive threads I've seen here lately and all the participants have done extremely well.

Forum: Miscellaneous topics of EvC. Thread: Ignorant creationists versus knowledgeable evolutionists Post: #20 When I grow up I hope to be Jar.I read a lot of wisdom in this excellent post. Maybe I'm biased because my views are very similar in that I am also not a classic creo - but rather a modern one, lol; Jar writes: IMHO the issue is not really Creation vs Evolution, GOD vs Science. Instead it is between reliance on theories developed thousands of years ago or more recent theories, between theories based on evidence that was available thousands of years ago and those that consider what we have learned since then. Read the full post though - it's a very good post.

Minnemooseous:
Suggestions and Questions Forum Topic: Creationist Admins Message 2 By the time a "real" creationist is judged to have achieved a safe level of rationality, s/he is no longer a "real" creationist. Moose tells it like it is and seems to administrate justly regardless of one's ideology. I cite his above quote for pom because it fingers the problem true creationists face in debating the minority viewpoint which factors in the supernatural. As chief admin, he seems to understand this handicap of true creationists. {Made the "2" a link - AM} This message has been edited by Adminnemooseus, 11-13-2004 10:22 PM

I do think it's "Chick Tracts" though, isn't it? Gosh, if only we empowered certain members with the control and oversight necessary to correct mistakes like that. Hey, that's not a bad idea. We could call them "administrators", or, for short, "admins." Huh, what do you think of the idea?
