@
Revista di Biologia
You have presented the term “derepression” to indicate ”release’ from latency. My question is is this word “release” an active verb or is the word simply holding a link to predicates that become better known in time but have not causal effect after the fact?
see also a link to context @EVC A Prescribed Evolutionary Hypothesis
Edited by Brad McFall, : "or simply" changed to "or is the word simply"
Edited by Adminnemooseus, : Modified topic title from "PEH-John A. Davison and Brad McFall" to "PEH (John A. Davison and Brad McFall only".

Attention John A. Davison
This proposed topic is intended for the "Showcase" forum, as a "Great Debate" type discussion between just you and Brad.
It is your option whether to accept participating in this topic. If you wish to discuss this and probably further other points with Brad, please indicate such at the Showcase Forum Issues and Requests or Considerations of topic promotions from the Proposed New Topics forum topics. Or alternatively, please indicate that you do not wish such, at one of those topics.

This "Great Debate" type topics is about to move to the "Showcase" forum
I interpret the message here to being that John A. Davison has agreed to take part in a discussion with Brad McFall.
Note that this is a side topic to JAD's main topic, A Prescribed Evolutionary Hypothesis. Hopefully, this topic will not cause problems by being overly redundant to the main topic.
Guidelines for this specific topic:
1) It is for John A. Davison and Brad McFall only. Other members having posting privileges in the "Showcase" forum SHOULD NOT post to this topic. Any contented posted here by others is very subject to being ruthlessly deleted. Also, Brad McFall SHOULD NOT post to any other "Showcase" topic, including JAD's main topic, unless a change in Brad permissions is later made.
2) I suggest that the non JAD members taking part in JAD's main topic refrain from pulling material from this topic. Let the two topics operate independently of each other. However, as I see it, either JAD or Brad should be free to pull material from the main JAD topic, to be used in this topic.
Brad McFall will be set up to have "Showcase" posting permissions, and this topic will be moved to the "Showcase" forum. JAD can then respond to the content of message 1.
Stand by.

This topic on hold
Just as I was promoting this topic to the "Showcase" forum, JAD posted this:
I am not interested in a private conversation with anyone. I welcome comments from anyone on the thread already available for the purpose of defending the Prescribed Evolutionary Hypothesis. So far I have nothing to defend.
This topic is open to reading by any and all. It is private only in that it is intended for JAD / Brad McFall only participation.
To absolutely clarify the situation, I ask JAD "Do you wish to participate in this specific topic, with the guidelines as presented"? If yes, this topic will remain open and you and Brad can go at it. If no, this topic will be closed.
For now at least, the policy is and will remain that Brad is not to take part in your main topic.

Re: Attention John A. Davison
I am not interested in a "Great Debate" with Brad or anybody else and will not participate in one. I have a new hypothesis for organic evolution and I am still waiting for a reason to respond to a critique of it. If no critique is forthcoming don't blame me. I had the same experience on my blog when I sponsored the first annual Tournament of Evolutionary Mechanisms. Nobody showed, so I naturally assumed nobody had anything to offer. This looks like a rerun to me.

Re: This topic on hold
Why should Brad or anyone else be denied participation in the main topic? That sure doesn't seem fair to Brad. I welcome everyone without exception. I am still waiting for something to happen!

Absolutely, such are your rights. The decision is yours.
I had thought that interaction between you and Brad would best be served by a specific topic such as this one. Seemingly, it is not to happen.
This topic will be closed and Brad McFall's permissions to the "Showcase" forum will be removed.
Sorry Brad, I tried, but it didn't fly. We shall see what happens futher down the road.
