We have been with Starlink for about a month now. It is ridiculously expensive, but it was what we had to do.
We were on a 10 Mbps plan from the phone company. We used to be on CenturyLink, which I have called the worst internet service in the world. Then they sold to a venture capital firm called BrightSpeed that quickly showed there is no bottom.
With CenturyLink we rarely went below 6 Mbps and when I called tech support they could look at my history and resolve issues relatively quickly. Usually a connection on the POTS network needed to be reset. BrightSpeed refused to acknowledge any issues. I finally grew tired about whining and bitching about not being able to stream. Also, we are in a cell deadzone. We are in a little dip in the countryside and surrounded by trees. There is one tower within five miles. If we do not have internet we do not have cell service. Joy of country living.
I imagine the phone lines down our road are over 50 years old. Amazing they transmit the data they do.
Starlink internet is amazing. I would switch to cable or fiber if it were available, but it is not and probably never will be. We are averaging about 100 Mbps. I just ran a test off of my router and we are getting 175 Mbps down and 19 Mbps up. Speaking of routers, theirs is pretty basic. I bypass it and use an Asus router with mesh nodes connected.

Facts don't lie or have an agenda. Facts are just facts
"God did it" is not an argument. It is an excuse for intellectual laziness.
If your viewpoint has merits and facts to back it up, why would you have to lie?
