I am pleased that my new great-grandson was born healthy! I fear the America and world he inherits will be increasingly grim.

The Future
I have no kids but know how I feel about my grand-nephews.
They are the hope, along with your grandson and others. We cant give up.
My oldest grandnephew(16) was given a trip to Japan by my sister. He is there now with her. I would be scared to be a kid in today's world but my time has come and gone.

Congrats. As my oldest handicapped, 40, will never have children and my youngest is 13. I am sure I will never meet a great-grandchild. I am 60 so meeting a grandchild may even be a stretch.

Facts don't lie or have an agenda. Facts are just facts

"God did it" is not an argument. It is an excuse for intellectual laziness.

If your viewpoint has merits and facts to back it up why would you have to lie?

Somewhat ditto. We had our older son when I was 30 and he was at the end of his 30's before having his sons, so I'll be hitting my 90's before they get out of school let alone marry.
But at least my in-laws got to meet their great-grandsons.

6 generations alive at same time?
Supposedly, chain of 6 mothers in this video (youngest daughter and 6 mothers).
Apparently, you can't embed a "short".
https://youtube.com/shorts/oA2Fd4m38xs?feature=share
Seems to be a chain of +/-15 year old mothers.

And all the children are above average.

Re: 6 generations alive at same time?
Just a wild guess on my part that it's a cultural reference:
Garrison Keillor, Prairie Home Companion:
And that's the news from Lake Wobegon, where all the women are strong, all the men are good looking, and all the children are above average.

Inherited Sneeze
My daughter and I are waiting to hear if the newest member of the family has inherited my maternal grandfather's sneeze. It is a very distinctive rapid fire long series of sneezes (often 10 or more) without time for a breath in between. My mother had this sneeze and I have it and my daughter has it and on the day my grandson was born he sneezed and I knew he was my grandson and now maybe his son.
I have only encountered one other non family member person who sneezes like that and she said her father sneezes that way too.
Anticipation...
