May I suggest modification to
Columnist rules of engagement to be in more of the format of Dr Adequate's excellent
Introduction To Geology where you have a main poster, and the posts are vetted through one or more editors (with credit of course), so you would have:
- Original Poster (the columnist),
- Assistance from one or more editors on each post (formating, content, accuracy, readability, etc),
- Posting access limited to columnist, editors and admin, and
- People can vote (green or red) or comment by message (ie ask for clarifications) or dedicated "peanut gallery" (coffeehouse) topic.
Then we can put
Introduction to Evolution into this forum?
Another suggestion is to add a new forum "
Dialogs" - where a small set list of people can comment and discuss a topic in a friendly manner without interference or dog-piling, again with posting access limited to the set list plus admin. This could involve two evos discussing a topic rather than an evo vs creo type debate.
