So, on my Facebook, I saw at least three friends link to an Alex Jones story in which he suggests that the Colorado shooting was a "false flag" incident perpetrated by the Obama administration, designed to soften people up to the idea of signing the UN gun treaty (which has nothing to do with citizen gun ownership btw, it's about the international arms trade) and/or tightening firearms restrictions (god forbid). - can't find the original link at the moment, but here's a story about it ...
http://www.addictinginfo.org/...07/21/alex-jones-on-shooting
I found this allegation, absent of any sort of supporting evidence, to be absolutely ludicrous and inappropriate, as I suspect many of you do. However, I've learned through experience that to go onto these folks' (the ones who shared the story) Facebook walls and comment on their posts is unwise. So... I chose instead to post my own link and comment...
"Certifiably insane. - Encyclopedia of American Loons: 197: Alex Jones "
My uncle, who happens to have recently posted a pro-Jones comment, saw MY comment, on MY wall, and took offence, first badmouthing me on my wall, and then private messaging me to further scold me. I ultimately told him I was sorry if I offended him and removed the post from my wall - even though neither of those things was warranted. I expressed my dismay that he could seemingly post his opinion on his wall, but that somehow I was not allowed to post my opinion on mine.
My uncle didn't just "unfriend" me, he blocked me. Is that pathetic or what? Since when did holding an alternate opinion about something cause people to abandon all family/friendship connections and disown you? He's been posting pro Alex Jones rubbish for a long time now... I have just disregarded it. I have not commented or objected in any way, as he has the right to his opinion. This allegation re the CO shooting was just too much, and I finally had to make my opinion known. It seems that my uncle loves Alex Jones more than he loves his nephew

Alex Jones and Genesis Communications are obviously part of the Liberal Marxist Conspiracy that control the media and thought in America.

Anyone so limited that they can only spell a word one way is severely handicapped!

Hi Briterican,
My uncle didn't just "unfriend" me, he blocked me. Is that pathetic or what? Since when did holding an alternate opinion about something cause people to abandon all family/friendship connections and disown you?
It's called cognitive dissonance. And when the real world threatens you need to close all the doors.
Enjoy

Cognitive dissonance
Yeah RAZD, I think that's spot on. He previously thought highly of me, at least I think hehe, so to find that I don't fit his worldview was shocking to him I guess.
All I know is I am sooooo sick of hearing the term "false flag". Friggin lunatics.

Since when is having a different opinion not allowed?
quote:
And they that found him gathering sticks brought him unto Moses and Aaron, and unto all the congregation. .. And all the congregation brought him without the camp, and stoned him with stones, and he died; as the LORD commanded Moses.
For a pretty long time, I'd wager.
