Serious [URL] dBCode Problem

A serious bug has been reported with the [url] dBCode. The bug was released on Saturday, December 11, 2010, a little over a week ago.The bug has been fixed, but messages posted during this period that used the [url] dBCode will not be decoded properly when edited or peeked. If you know of any such messages please post to this thread and provide a link. I will fix such messages. Do not attempt to fix such messages yourself unless you're very confident and careful.--Percy

I found one at Message 540. I fixed it. But that required me locating the original url and reconstructing.What showed up in peek, was: Incidentally, while editing that post there was an option near the bottom of the screen to post the edited message as the opening post in a new thread. I don't recall seeing that option since my Admin privileges were removed. Am I seeing another bug?

I don't recall the history, but this feature has been public since at least 2.1. It's much more useful for admins, though, since they can start a new thread anywhere with any member's posts, while members can only start a new thread with their own messages in forums where they have "new thread" permissions.

Slightly related.In Message 306, I see a comment "Edited by Admin, 12-20-2010 10:40 AM: Shorten long link." The obvious long link in that post is broken. I was able to use "peek" to work out what is the correct link. What shows up in the post has the url doubled (concatenated with itself).

Here - 4th one down.The link works, but the url does not show up in "peek" or "edit".As per the edit notes at the bottom of that message, I had repaired it on the 16th. The link didn't work, and I then had to re-added the url.MooseAdded by edit - Same situation for a couple of Adminnemooseus messages - Links work, but no url seen in "peek".
Here and hereAdded by edit #2 - By the way, to track down your most recent messages, use the "advanced search" function and enter your ID in "Search by author name". If you've posted a lot of messages, you may need to break down the searches by individual forums.
