Hi, Percy.
I've got a most unusual problem involving my web browsers.
I've recently started using Firefox (I had previously been using only IE). But, when I use Firefox to access EvC, every link on the site sends me to a Login page that says, in red letters, "Password has changed, please log in again" at the top. But, neither my old password (pre-hackers) nor my new password (post-hackers) will let me in.
I even used the "Request New Password" link to reset my password, and I still came up with the same problem. I can't even view the forums as a guest.
IE doesn't give me any problems at all, though.
Is this a browser problem? Or an EvC problem that you can deal with?

Hi, Panda.
I've resolved it. Firefox saved a cookie with my old password, and I just had to remove the old cookie to reset my password to the new one.
Thanks.

Firefox - left click, no return to previous page option
Firefox 3.6.16 (current version)
Something I just noticed today - Often, but now always, when I left click on a link the link opens in the current tab (as expected). I, however, can't back to the previous page - The "back" button is grayed out.
Anyone else having this situation? Have a solution?

Added by edit - This is NOT a specific to evcforum.net problem. It also happens elsewhere.
Edited by Minnemooseus, : Extra 2 letter word got in there.

Re: cant post using IE9
Please try clicking on refresh. Let me know if that doesn't help, in which case I'll install IE9 on my Windows/7 machine and check it out.

I have tried everything. Refreshing, clearing cookies, Ran a complete scan for virus/malware ect...
I first noticed problem when I tried to post around 5am, gave me an error msg. I cant remember what it said. I logged off and couldn't log back on. [ Dispatch table lookup failure] is the msg I get now when I try to log on with IE9. I dont seem to having problems on other sites

Re: cant post using IE9
I've also had problems with logging in and with posting over the last few days. I fear that it may not be your browser. The logins might have been my fault, but I don't think so. THe posts took several attempts each before they "took"
This post worked first time, otherwise I would have copied the error message.

No, Safari on Mac and iPad. I don't think that it is the browser.

Internet Explorer Problem Fixed
For Internet Explorer, logins (and everything else) should now work.
I have IE8 installed on my development platform, and the problem appears to affect IE6, IE7 and IE9, which I have installed on other machines, but not IE8, hence I never noticed the problem. Somehow or other Microsoft managed to fix the bug in IE8, then restore it in IE9. Gotta love 'em!

Re: Internet Explorer Problem Fixed
I had a similar problem on FF not long ago. It didn't happen all the time, but only occasionally. Haven't seen it for a while; not sure if it's related.
