Evolution in reverse

I often hear, in arguments against the flud, that if it were true, there would have had to have been super evolution and in reverse.I don't quite get what is meant by saying it would have to be in reverse.

I guess I have heard the opinion that post "great flood" (note spelling) would require some sort of "hyper-evolution" to get to the current diversity.
