All might find this article of interest:
June 11 Scientists have unearthed three 160,000-year-old human skulls in Ethiopia that are the oldest known and best-preserved fossils of modern humans’ immediate predecessors. The nearly complete skulls of an adult male and a child and the partial skull of a second adult appear to represent a crucial stage of human evolution when the facial features of modern humans arose...more:

posting bald links with no discussion is also against the forum guidelines.
Again - if you cannot discuss the pros and cons of the material you are introducing from a source, then you are unable to discuss the truth or validity of those arguments.
Enjoy.

Old topic (2003)
Another link to this information is
http://www.berkeley.edu/.../releases/2003/06/11_idaltu.shtml
Just a nit-pik point -- these are not the oldest human fossils but they (were) the oldest Homo sapiens fossils (at that time).
Fossils of Homo erectus are also considered "human" (Homo) and date older than these fossils.
These fossils being fully Homo sapiens fossils means that nO_JeZeBeL's bare link paste is completely irrelevant to the issue of this topic, a point that seems to demonstrate that nO_JeZeBeL is not really looking at the material involved, possibly not understanding it (actual arguments from nO_JeZeBeL have yet to be made that would allow one to assess this).
Enjoy.

Hi RAZD,
Just a nit-pik point -- these are not the oldest human fossils but they (were) the oldest Homo sapiens fossils (at that time).
Fossils of Homo erectus are also considered "human" (Homo) and date older than these fossils.
If Homo erectus are human, then archaic Homo sapiens are too. I believe anything in the genus "Homo" is considered "man", or human.
