Sure there is. Use a decent browser that allows you to block specific images or configure a proxy to drop the specific image.

Adblock extensions can be used to block images with either Firefox or Mozilla. Konqueror has adblock filters; so does Opera and Epiphany. Pretty much anything on x86 except Internet Explorer is considered a decent browser nowadays.

pink sasquatch is the man. ??? Is that a good thing or a bad thing? Does my avatar bother you somehow? (I'm enjoying your current avatar, by the way - I've got Axis: Bold as Love on vinyl - one of my favorite album covers in my collection - I don't see how that much artwork could fit on a tiny CD cover...)
