quote:Parents who are thinking about taking their children to see "Shrek 2," may wish to consider the following: The movie features a male-to-female transgender (in transition) as an evil bartender. The character has five o'clock shadow, wears a dress and has female breasts. It is clear that he is a she-male. His voice is that of talk show host Larry King
quote:An earlier scene in the movie features a wolf dressed in grandma's clothing and reading a book when Prince Charming encounters him. Later, one of the characters refers to the wolf's gender confusion.
dude, we should totally get some she-males to send them hate mail. that would be awesome. something about how "they deserve parts in movies and representation as well" and about how they "won't go away just because their bodies don't your conception of morality" and how "god made" them "that way."
An earlier scene in the movie features a wolf dressed in grandma's clothing and reading a book when Prince Charming encounters him.
So "Little Red Riding Hood" is also off-limits for those with upright morality?
Though my favorite quote from the page is (emphasis mine):
TVC's report, "A Gender Identity Disorder Goes Mainstream," explains the transgender agenda and the effort to deconstruct the biological reality of male and female. DreamWorks is helping in this effort by promoting cross dressing and transgenderism in this animated film.
First the Homosexual Agenda, and now the Transgender Agenda (TransAgenda for short?). Since it seems like everyone in mainstream society is now following these agendas, I sure wish I could get a copy of them...
Well, to the right wing conservatives, everything deemed homosexual behavior. I'm willing to bet that they will start attacking classic characters like Tom and Jerry and Batman. I mean, what kind of man wear leather tights?
Nobody thinks about smut and sex more than everyone on the Religious Right.
They have the dirtiest minds of all.
They see sex EVERYWHERE. They pay great attention to EVERYTHING that can be considered even the least bit sexual, and then tell everyone they can about how sexual it all is.
I used to frequent this crazy ultra-right wing religious Christian movie review site, and they used to quantify the number of instances of sexual and other offensive content in all movies.
I remember them mentioning a scene in Jurassic Park in which Sam Neal's character touched his 12 year old female co-star's breast.
I couldn't for the life of me think of what they were talking about. It turns out that in the scene, Neal grabs the girl around her body to save her from getting eaten or something, and his arm is around her chest.
Now, these very conservative, christian moralists are the ONLY people who are thinking about that 12 year old girl in sexual terms in that scene.
