A recent BBC News article points to the history of attempts to colonize the British Isles. It seems to indicate that on at least seven occasions the human populations of the British Isles dropped to zero or near zero, with a close correlation to temperature. Aslan is not a Tame Lion

BBC writes: Eight times humans came to try to live in Britain and on at least seven occasions they failed.... Love that Dunkirk spirit! But perhaps they should have gotten the message.... One interesting related point is the fact that North Sea trawlers often drag fossils up from the sea bed. These date from the time when there was a land bridge between the British Isles and Continental Europe. Edited by RickJB, : No reason given. Edited by RickJB, : No reason given.

I guess the arrogance was showing through "oh no, we can't reach the brits! noooooooo!" I wonder if they still think they're the center of europe? Be a shame to show them a map--we'd have another revolution, copernican style
