It is no secret I am no fan of Mossad, and not a big fan of zionist Israelis (like Sharon) either. Thus I feel I should add a disclaimer at the beginning of this. I am NOT advocating the theory that Israel helped mastermind 9-11. I think such claims are pretty absurd, especially given the evidence of who was directly involved.
However I was never happy with the tone major Israeli leaders took with regard to 9-11. None of them expressed shock, but rather a stance like now we knew what it was like to be them. Their arguments that %wise 9-11 was nothing compared to what Israel has suffered was particularly galling. (In a move which surprised me, Palestinian leaders... in contrast to scenes of Palestinians celebrating on the street... not only expressed shock, but Hanan Ashwari actually said the US just suffered something the likes which NO ONE had suffered before).
Given my "bias" I might be a bit of a sucker for the following news bits.:

What they outline is evidence (IMO better than circumstantial) that Mossad was aware of the 9-11 plot and simply tracked events, rather than coming to our aid. While they certainly gave us an out (giving us the names of 2 of the hijackers), they hedged it with false information (the attack would not be in the US).
In the end Mossad and Israeli leaders were not acting as friends of the US, and appear to have let a terrorist act move forward to gain the US as a "brother in arms". The alleged reaction of the Mossad agents (celebrating as they filmed the burning towers), and the actual reaction of Israeli officials at the time, back these suggestions.
What do others make of these articles and, if true, what do you think the proper reaction of the US government should be in this case (or future cases)?
