I think you’ll find that’s a Republican “lie” - one of their “justifications” for cutting taxes. “Trickle-down” is another.

The truth is that debt is something that governments can manage as long as the debt doesn't get too high. The only question is how high is too high. You are always talking up the BRICS nations, but China's government debt is about 3 times what the US debt is in terms of percentage of GDP.
