Astonishing photos, thanks Theo. Looks like god is wearing a tie-dyed t-shirt in some of them.
You just hand-holding a cell-phone? If yes, how large can you print before they look blurry/pixelated?
According to the aurora-dash, the aurora is currently at Cat 1. Doubtful there will be a repeat performance tonight. But 2025 will be the supposed apex of solar activity, so we should be seeing more soon.

Re: Ra has forgiven me . . .
Just before bed last night I noticed that a guy had posted aurora photos from the Florida panhandle. I told my wife we should grab our gear and check to see if they were visible here. I should have set my camera up before leaving the house, but it's way more fun to stumble around in the dark! We headed east of town to get a but of darkness and missed a couple turns but saw an open pullout into a farm field. I got out and put my camera on the tripod but then needed my wife to hold her phone flashlight while I setup the camera. After a bunch of tests I started seeing aurora on the camera screen even though we still were not sure we could see it with our eyes. We got there at midnight and stayed until 1am. As our eyes got more dark adjusted we could actually see the colors but not structure or changes. I shot about 60 shots varying the exposure time from 2 seconds to 20 seconds. The short exposures were the sharpest.

If your viewpoint has merits and facts to back it up, why would you have to lie?

Though the camera made things more vivid. We could easily see with our bare eyes.

Yeah, we were disappointed that it wasn't brighter. I have a friend who spent a year above the Arctic Circle and he said that they say it pretty much every night vividly and that it made a faint buzzing and crackling sound.
If it is sunny tomorrow I'm going to try and shoot some sunspots.
It's amazing that your phone and my DSLR both have a 12 megapixel sensor.

Aurora Borealis Conspiracy
I posted one of my aurora images (above) on a local forum and a woman posted this in the comments:
quote:
Northern Lights have patterns. The media is conditioning us to think its Northern Lights. Again, Northern Lights have PATTERNS. Where are the patterns ? There are none because its the electromagnetic frequency systems effect on the atmosphere. Metals have been put into the atmosphere - chemtrails - to help these systems. The populace has been conditioned not to question, not to Think. Laugh as you will, the fact chequerz laughed when Noah built the Ark - then it Rained -

Magnificent. I wish the lights would show themselves more often in my neck of the woods. Thanks for sharing.
