Delete my account and threads and posts

You obviously do not understand your position. You cannot get rid of that message. It is permanently on the internet, forever. And you have made the situation even worse. Every time you make an additional post with a link to your original errant message you put up yet another copy to be seen more widely and permanently stored in yet another searchable database.The damage has been done. You're in a hole. Stop digging.Advise you get a bunch of reference letters from doctors, friends, priests and be prepared to explain your, now resolved, prior medical issues. That seems your only viable play. Good luck.

Yes, I can't edit the post because the thread is locked and it doesn't allow me to edit it. I have contacted the Admin. And he is telling me that he can't delete my account or delete the thread or the post. All I want is my name to be taken out of it. I am applying for jobs and when they are doing background checks. They are also searching the Web. I am being denied great opportunities to be able to get a job so that I can support my wife and children because of this post that I made over 10 years ago. I have no criminal background. I've never stolen from anybody and I have never hurt anybody. I am just trying to live my life in peace. Do I regret posting it? Yes, I do. This is the only reason I have activated my account again so that I can ask for help and hopefully, somebody can help me get my account deleted or at least delete the post or edit the post so that it's not so damaging to me getting a job. I am trying to be as nice and polite about this as I possibly can all I want is some sympathy and help please. I no longer debate about creationism or evolution. I am just trying to live my life in peace. Taking care of my wife and children.

Admin is like a god. If he says there is nothing he can do, there is nothing that can be done. It is a personal issue you need to deal with. The internet is forever. I use my real name a lot of places. Then again my life is an open book. I can support or defend anything I have ever said on the internet. My mental health issues have counseled and acknowledged. Finally got on anxiety meds. Then again I haven't had a "real" job for 20 years. I married a younger MD when I was 42.
I feel for you. I really do. If you used your name here, you did it elsewhere. You won't be able to hunt everything down. Everytime a search for your name is made it creates a new searchable record with your name. Good luck. Deal with the subject openly. Inform potential employers what they will.find before they search. May I suggest that you use the Messaging feature to communicate directly with Percy as Admin? That way the two of you can work together for a mutually satisfactory solution.Completely erasing you and all your messages from this forum may well be impossible, but unlocking that topic to allow you to edit the offending messages in order to remove the problematic information should be possible. Work that out privately with Percy instead of posting it as yet more incriminating public information open to Google.

If I were in your position I would print out several copies of THIS THREAD, and present them each time you interview for a job. If a potential employer rejects you for this, IMO you don't need that job anyway.
