Re: I was wondering...
I'm orthagonal. Everyone is wrong.
Self-contradictory. How could anyone be wrong if every axis is right?
Actually, I was angling for saying "angle" instead of "axis".

ABE:
Explanation for the non-mathematical minded.
Many coördinate systems are orthogonal, which means that each axis is at right angles to all the others.
For example, in a 2D space, the X and Y axes are at right angles (90°) to each other. In a 3D space, you add a Z axis which is at right angles to both the X and the Y axes. In nD space (for any integer value of n) each axis is at right angles to all the others even though our limited minds are incapable of visualizing that.

I include myself in "everyone" and thus remain confidently tentative.
Ralph Waldo Emerson:
A foolish consistency is the hobgoblin of little minds, adored by little statesmen and philosophers and divines. With consistency a great soul has simply nothing to do. He may as well concern himself with his shadow on the wall. Speak what you think now in hard words, and to-morrow speak what to-morrow thinks in hard words again, though it contradict every thing you said to-day.
Talking Heads:
It's scientific.

Good question. You say that you question any and all data.
  • Why were the conservatives unwilling to be as critical of the "data" against Trump?
He was a 10,000 to 1 longshot according to you.

The debates and discussions about the BLM movement were strongly correlated with partisan politics. I don't know of any polls, but I would be absolutely surprised if the people in those protests were more than 5% Trump voters. Here in the PNW there were completely zany takeovers in Portland and Seattle, and again, I highly doubt those were Trump voters.

All I was trying to point out is that crazy is not limited to just to conservatism. I think there is certainly a difference in quantity, however. I also think there is a difference in kind between the BLM movement and the 1/6 insurrection. It's one thing to protest excessive police brutality. It is quite another to use violence as a way of stopping the transfer of power in a democracy.
So did they ever convict him on that January 6th fiasco or has it gone away?

Giuliani puts his foot in it again
Rudy Giuliani’s lawyers withdrew from his defence for reasons that were sealed by the court, because of client-attorney confidentiality.
Giuliani waived that confidentiality by blaming the lawyers for his refusal to comply with discovery. Surprising nobody the notice of withdrawal specifically cited Giuliani’s refusal to comply with discovery against his lawyer’s advice.
