It has always puzzled me why GIA doesnt just become a critically thinking secular humanist/atheist like the rest of the peanut gallery, but he does mention the concept of Apotheosis. In a sense, deification is a synonym. I don't think that GIA actually believes he is a god, since he is flesh and blood like the rest of us, but the demons play tricks with his mind. (Of course he would scoff, claiming that anyone who believes in the supernatural...be it demons or the Holy Spirit...is delusional.​
