If you're going to use definitions, at least get them right. Confidence is not the same as either trust or faith.
They are synonyms, I should have been more clear. The words are easily used in place of faith. I have faith in God, and on our money it says "In God We Trust", same thing. It's nit picking and goes beyond my point.

Dynamite can actually move mountains.
Not by talking to it.
Matthew 17:20 He answered them, “for assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you”

No. Your love for your children would be easily demonstrable.
By who's subjective definition? Do you have some kind of absolute definition for love? Isn't this concept at the core of this topic, and why you can never "not offend anyone"?
Love for your children is 100% subjective.

Well, in this thread alone you've demonstrated that you don't know the difference between subjective and objective - or the difference between confidence and faith.
Yes I have. What has happened is people have twisted my words.

Some of us are capable of saying something stupid once in a while too.
I have no problem being put on top of that list if that's where you want to put me. The problem is the demonization of me to make anything I say wrong, and to give free rein to say anything you want to me. That is far worse that saying something stupid once and a while.

Is there a difference? Are you really so gone dumb that you think these are separate? Math is the tool. It is the language of science. They are inseparable.
I just wanted you to explain it a little further, but you just resorted to insulting again.
I would even say math is one of the tools of the scientific method, not "science". Science is subjective, requires faith, and the scientific method is not.
