Around two years ago, I got this book on Audible
Stealth War:How China Took Over While America's Elite Slept
A couple of weeks ago, I added this one to my audible library:
War Without Rules: China's Playbook for Global Domination
I got the second one because of what Ray Dalio mentioned about China replacing the US as the dominant global power.
I dont know much about Robert Spalding. Lets see what google says:
Wiki writes:
Robert S. Spalding III is a retired United States Air Force brigadier general. He currently serves as a senior fellow at the Hudson Institute. His work focuses on U.S.–China relations, economic and national security, and the Asia-Pacific military balance.
I am no war-monger, but I would caution the US military of getting into a direct conflict with China.
The Chinese are a wise and patient people, and the CCP is the elephant in the room.
Robert Spalding:
"I am a national security expert and patriot entrepreneur identifying threats to our security, economy, and way of life. I am committed to bringing jobs back to the USA by restoring American manufacturing and securing our most critical resource...data."
Rob Spalding
Let the critiques of the author begin.

The most difficult subjects can be explained to the most slow-witted man if he has not formed any idea of them already; but the simplest thing cannot be made clear to the most intelligent man if he is firmly persuaded that he knows already, without a shadow of a doubt, what is laid before him.” - Leo Tolstoy, The Kingdom of God is Within You (1894).
When both religious and non-religious people reach the same conclusions then you know religion isn't the reason.--Percy
Nor are Democrats the best party or the only one we should have. -Phat,2022 addressing The Peanut Gallery.

I'm not going to waste any time critiquing yet another one of your goober heroes.
I will mention that they have books on paper now.
I'm a very slow reader. I tend to go back and forth a lot to check what it actually says on the previous page. You can't really do that with audio books.
But I do have pretty good reading comprehension, partly I think because reading lends itself better to understanding than listening does.
Moral of the story: read a book. If you MUST have auditory stimulation, listen to Guns 'n' Roses.

Come all of you cowboys all over this land,
I'll teach you the law of the Ranger's Command:
To hold a six shooter, and never to run
As long as there's bullets in both of your guns.
-- Woody Guthrie

Over & Over Again
I have Ray Dalios 600 page book in front of me right now. Thank God I can still read!
My audible books are on my Alexa in my bedroom. I listen to them over and over as I sleep, catching bits and pieces every single time I hear them.
