Sunday is simply referred to as the "first day of
the week."
Just out of curiosity, how do you know what the "first day" of the creation week was?
I can see how an extremely loose interpretation of the Old Testament could give Bishop Usher the year but how could he get it down to the month, day and even the hour? (I know there's a lot of woulda-colulda-shoulda nonsense about equinoxes, etc. but the Bible doesn't support any of that.)
It seems to me that there are vast gaps in continuity that make if impossible to say with any confidence what day is THE sabbath in the present.

Ringo, the Jews have kept meticulous records.
So show us the records from the year 4004 B.C.E.

Jesus was Jewish. He obviously kept the Sabbath (Saturday). The question is, How did HE know that the Jews were keeping the "right" day? Where are the records going back to the year 4004 B.C.E.?

Basic assumptions used in dating methods are
are just that, assumptions.
And you don't understand what assumptions are.
When we put a satellite in orbit, we assume that the earth is round. That's not just a wild guess. It's a well-established fact. It is important to keep it in mind when we launch a satellite but it is NOT in doubt.
candle2 writes:
If a dating technique is found to be wrong just once, none

Don't be silly. You don't use that standard for anything else. Have you ever heard what the carpenters say? "Measure twice, cut once." They measure twice because ANY measurement can be wrong. They measure twice to make sure there was no mistake in the first measurement. You don't hear a carpenter say, "I'm sorry, we can't build your house because the measurements are unreliable."
And radiometric dating is also done repeatedly on multiple samples for the same reason.

I never seen any Catholic worship Mary.
You've never heard any Catholic use the phrase, "Hail Mary"?
quote:
Hail, Mary, full of grace,
the Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou amongst women
and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God,
pray for us sinners,
now and at the hour of our death.
Amen.
Sounds a bit worshipful to me.

Did you memorize Hal Lindsey?
Here's another book you might like: Apocalypse Next. It's a virtual clone of The Late Great Planet Earth.
Be sure to avoid this one: Apoclypse Not. The subtitle is "Everything You Know About 2012, Nostradamus and the Rapture Is Wrong".

You want me to come up with a test for an hypothesis that can't be tested?
No. The fact that YOU can't come up with a test doesn't mean anything. It does suggest that you haven't put any thought or research into it.
The test is fitting it into the nested hierarchy of all living things. If it fits, that demonstrates relationships to the other organisms that it fits between.
If, on the other hand, you try to fit a winged horse into the nested hierarchy, you'll notice that there are no vertebrates with six limbs.
