That was a copy of Jar's Message 217 from the The Light Time Problem thread. I posted it here as a test because it brought to light a problem with email notifications. You might want to repost over there.

I can't reproduce the problem. It may be part of the same DNS cache problem. Is the problem still there?

I've made a control panel change that should eliminate the problem, regardless of any possible browser cache issues. Please let me know if there's still a problem.

Just a quick post to make sure posting of messages is working.

You have to do a hard reload. On a Windows machine you'd just hold down the CTRL key and hit reload. On an Android my guess is you tap on reload but hold your finger on it until a menu or reload option pops up somewhere.

To do a hard reload on Chrome hold down the shift key and click on reload (circular arrow near upper left). If you get a menu select "hard reload".

iStock images cannot be used by other websites. Attempts to access them by other websites are refused. They charge for their photos, so making them freely available would be counterproductive for them:

Here's an example of how to do it on an iPhone, and hopefully Android is similar.

1. Tap the image in a way that brings up the menu. On iPhone this means tap and hold.
   ​
2. If there's a "copy link" option then click that, but on the iPhone you'll see a "Create Link" option. Click that and you'll get a number of image options, but below that will be a readable list of options. Click "Copy".

3. Go to the message box where you're entering the reply. Enter your [img][/img] dBCodes in the correct spot, then in between the [img] and [/img] dBCodes click in a way that brings up a menu. On an iPhone that means clicking twice. Select the "Paste" option. This will enter the image URL between the [img] codes.

So many options or easy alternatives are missing on phones and tablets that are available on laptops or desktops. To do the same thing as above on a laptop you right click on the image and select "Copy image address" then go to the message box, right click, and select "Paste".Another example. With Apple Music the "search" function doesn't exist on an iPhone. I just love scrolling to "You've lost that loving feeling" in a list of 3000 songs. On a laptop you search for it (typing "you've" is usually enough), or you can make the song title column display in reverse order, bringing it near the top.Cell phones do a great job for so many things, like sending texts and taking and sharing images, but I don't understand the attraction of cell phones for doing or saying anything meaningful or lengthy.For the dinosaurs among us, cell phones can also be used as actual phones. AbE: You can sort a normal playlist on an iPhone, but not a smart playlist. There's no search function for either type of playlist.

That's the image width. If you want to display your avatar with a width of 50 you would enter this: And it would look like this: If you want to display your avatar with a width of 100 but right justified you would enter this: And it would look like this: Here's your avatar at various widths: The img dBCode is documented at Image dBCode Doc, but briefly, you can control whether it's centered, left, right floating, backwards, upside down, captioned, and set the width. You can also place multiple images on the same line by separating their URLs with commas. Some examples:

Click peek to see how any of this was done. You'll have to do a hard reload to see it all displayed properly because I found and fixed a bug at the same time.

To get the URL of the image, right-click on the image and select "Copy Image Address". That's Mac, Windows will be similar. Then paste it into your image dBCode: It should look like this:

I'm not sure whether it's tap-and-hold or two-finger tap on Android that is the same as right-click, but I think it's one of those. So do the Android equivalent of right-click on the image and a menu should pop up. Select "Copy Image Link", then go to the webpage where your composing your reply, right-click in the message box, a menu should pop up, select "Paste".

You've put a link to a webpage between [img] tags, and since a webpage is not an image you're getting the "Image Not Found" error.That webpage does contain an image, and if you do the equivalent of right-click on the image and select "Copy Image Address" or whatever it is, then you'll be able to paste the link to the actual image between [img] tags, as thus: AbE: Interesting. The owner of the image has already made it unavailable.
