so you moved the goal-posts to Islam. Incidentally, you can criticize Islam all you like - it's a demonic cult of fear and violence and has been from the very beginning. Christianity, Judaism and Islam are the three largest of the Abrahamic religions.
They all worship the same God and all claim the others do not worship the same god. They all use pretty much the same basic texts and practice pretty much the same cultures while each claiming that the other two do not. Judaism though is the only one of the three that does not emphasis proselytizing and is the only one of the three that was not spread by the STATE and sword. My Website: My Website

Jesus didn't teach infallibility of the Pope but that's what Catholics do. He didn't teach praying to saints but that's what Catholics do. You just touched on a pet peeve and wish of mine: Believers should learn what their beliefs are and where they came from (ie, what they are actually based on). So many believers actually think that their beliefs come from the Bible even though that is not true. Instead, so many "biblical" beliefs come from other sources. A lot of Catholic beliefs came from extra-biblical Church fathers. A main thrust of the Protestant Reformation was to switch to sola scriptura, but I strongly suspect that a lot of those extra-biblical beliefs in Catholicism were retained (basically, the Protestants were trying to reconstruct the "original true Christianity", which is ambitious and vulnerable to failure). Fundamentalists of the Jesus Freak mold believed in dispensationalism and that it was in the Bible from the start, when in fact it was first developed around 1830. For that matter, fundamentalism originated around 1900. What we encounter all the time are "believers" who believe in things that aren't even in their religion. I think that every believer needs to study his religion as thoroughly as possible, which must include learning the history of individual beliefs.

Peter received the divine powers of authority and infallibility Jesus didn't teach infallibility of the Pope but that's what Catholics do.when Jesus gave him the "keys of the kingdom of heaven" and told him, "whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.” (Matt 16:19) He didn't teach praying to saints but that's what Catholics do.
Jesus told the apostles, “I have yet many things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now. When the Spirit of t-r-u-t-h comes, he will guide you into all the t-r-u-t-h " (John 16:12-13).In other words, Jesus did not reveal all his teachings when he was on earth. Rather, the Holy Spirit revealed them to the Church later, in the fullness of time. The Church is the "fullness" of Christ (Eph 1:22-23) and teaches the faithful the knowledge and doctrines of God (Eph 4:11-14). Therefore the Catholic Church's teachings are the teachings of Christ. Note: I had to write "t-r-u-t-h" coz otherwise it appeared as"*****". Weird.Edited by Dredge, . Edited by Dredge, . Edited by Dredge, . Edited by Dredge, . Edited by Dredge, . Edited by Dredge, .

Note: I had to write "t-r-u-t-h" coz otherwise it appeared as"*****". Weird. Not weird. There's an admin option to blank out in that manner words that a member has overly abused. Apparently, you have a history of abusing the word, "truth".

Yep, that is a problem, n'est ce pas? In fact, every Christian I have ever met (including myself) has been not only dishonest, but disgustingly evil as well. The problem is that the vast majority of Christians are too dishonest to actually admit just how evil Christianity has been and is still today. Evil religions like Christianity attract evil people - that's how the cookie crumbles, I'm afraid.Edited by Dredge, .
