And it doesn't amuse me at all because I have to deal with drug-resistant infections.
Trying to occupy the moral high ground now eh ?
In that case, pray tell, why are you wasting your time on here, rather than persuading the scientific community, the drug companies and governments of your genius and the ignorance of 99+% of the scientific community ? I mean, come on, it would surely do more for the health of your patients with drug-resistant infections, wouldn’t it ?
Unless, of course, there was some reason why not ?

Could there be any greater conceit, than for someone to believe that the universe has to be simple enough for them to be able to understand it ?

And there you go again, you ego-filled poster child for hubris - desperately trying to impress anyone with your supposed genius.
I’m not one of the people you need to persuade. This forum isn’t the community you need to persuade. Persuade the wider scientific community that evolution is wrong, and you’ll persuade me. Until then, I’ll stay rational and listen to that wider scientific community.

Could there be any greater conceit, than for someone to believe that the universe has to be simple enough for them to be able to understand it ?

And your photos of Jesus walking on water would be where...?

He's been banging the same (very small) drum in informal websites like these for 13 years at least. And in all that time, he's not had the guts to publish his anti-evolutionary theory claims with any degree of honesty in any respected peer reviewed scientific journal. 13 years. The very epitome of a coward.
And you asked him how old he thought the earth was didn't you ? And he didn't have the guts to reply openly. Coward again.

Could there be any greater conceit, than for someone to believe that the universe has to be simple enough for them to be able to understand it ?

Without conscience governed by Biblical truth, what would stop a scientist from performing destructive experiments on live humans?
Oh that one's easy. It's called common human decency. For example, I'm an atheist and I wouldn't dream of inflicting cruelty on a fellow human being.
In contrast, we have numerous examples of Protestants and Catholics burning each other alive throughout the centuries.
You get good humans and vile humans across the world, regardless of the flavour of their religious beliefs or lack of them. To believe your particular sect has cornered the market in decency and morality is palpable bollocks.

Could there be any greater conceit, than for someone to believe that the universe has to be simple enough for them to be able to understand it ?

By what standard is decency based on?
Oh I choose the one arrived at by consensus. It changes from time to time, and generally we're getting better. It's certainly preferable to the fictional standards of a god who got so annoyed with a few people not doing what he ordered them to do that he decided to drown not only the people who pissed him off, but also millions of innocent babies, people, animals etc. He's such a charmer, isn't he ?
Morality is a messy business - there's no perfect standard of goodness that can be defined - but we all know that deciding to drown an innocent child is more than a tad evil, don't we ?

Tch tch ! Naughty naughty ! Seeking to avoid the awkward question.
Let's try again. Is it evil to drown an innocent child ? Yes or no ?

Could there be any greater conceit, than for someone to believe that the universe has to be simple enough for them to be able to understand it ?

Is God murderous when He judges societies including its children, here are two helpful sights that should give insight. The first sight attempts to address the state of children that are not yet at the age of accountability.
I do love it when a religious fundie backs themselves into a logical corner from which there is no escape.
1. Quotation from your link:
However, the Bible also indicates that children are incapable of making moral choices, so that they are automatically rewarded with heaven. So, in having babies killed, God is actually doing them a favor
2. According to that position, if a human being kills a child, that child is automatically rewarded with heaven (being incapable of making moral choices, apparently). The human being is apparently doing them a favour.
3. As a logical result of that position, infanticide is never a crime, and should in fact be rewarded. (You know, by the perpetrator being worshipped and fawned over and given 10% of everyone's wealth etc).
Personally, my view is that infanticide is never morally right. (In fact, it's about as evil as you can get). You seem to think it is morally acceptable - even laudable.
I leave it to others to decide who is the more moral human being out of the two of us.

Could there be any greater conceit, than for someone to believe that the universe has to be simple enough for them to be able to understand it ?

Worst day at the office EVER
According to the Bible, on the fourth day of creation, God created the sun, the moon, the stars and the planets.
According to observed science, there are 200,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 stars in the universe. And that's not taking into account all the planets which must be orbiting those stars.
You gotta say, that was not a good day at the office.

Could there be any greater conceit, than for someone to believe that the universe has to be simple enough for them to be able to understand it ?
