But for the record, I do believe that global warming is real.
After the weird mish mash up there I'm confused. Just what do you think is "real" about global warming?

You can claim to know this but I disagree with your grasp of the situation.
1) You have no belief nor subjective evidence of the Holy Spirit. Yet the Holy Spirit *is* reality. Not that you will ever see it. 2) Perhaps you can logically argue that we all have our own experience...which is true, but the fact that so many of our experiences are very similar in detail...down to the little things...is to me subjective evidence. We dont simply internalize and repeat each others stories...we have our own and they are external experience rather than internal imagination. But again....you likely refuse to accept nor understand. As long as your individual experiences disagree with reality, you pretend you're all together but all you really share is a hatred for reality. This is one of the most blatant and ignorant statements that you have ever said. Just because your conclusions were what they were is in no way indicative that *you* understand reality."A lie can travel half way around the world while the truth is putting on its shoes." ~Mark Twain " *** far from science having buried God, not only do the results of science point towards his existence, but the scientific enterprise itself is validated by his existence.- Dr.John Lennox The whole war between the atheist and the theist comes down to this: the atheist believes a 'what' created the universe; the theist believes a 'who' created the universe.- Criss Jami, Killo The most difficult subjects can be explained to the most slow-witted man if he has not formed any idea of them already; but the simplest thing cannot be made clear to the most intelligent man if he is firmly persuaded that he knows already, without a shadow of a doubt, what is laid before him. I have as much "subjective experience" of the Holy Spirit as you do.
You have no belief nor subjective evidence of the Holy Spirit. Phat writes:
The fact is that they're not. You try to cobble them together to resemble each other after the fact.
the fact that so many of our experiences are very similar in detail.. Phat writes:
I refuse to jump to conclusions like you do.
But again....you likely refuse to accept nor understand. Phat writes:
And yet you have no argument against it. All you have is denial.

But it isn't *my* understanding. It's collective understanding. Just because your conclusions were what they were is in no way indicative that *you* understand reality."I've been to Moose Jaw, now I can die." -- John Wing

Phat writes: You have no belief nor subjective evidence of the Holy Spirit. Yet the Holy Spirit *is* reality. Not that you will ever see it. If that were true Phat you would be able to show verifiable evidence of its existence but neither you or anyone else has ever been able to do so! And THAT is reality!

As does every Hindu and Satanist and Muslim and Jew and ... You seem to be unable to understand what evidence is.

Unfortunately Phat you are just showing your willful disregard for reality when you say something as silly as that.

You are right---it doesn't. I went off topic right after Nosy Ned.
My apologies. We were discussing methane and permafrost melt, which is somewhat on topic. Does our resident dragonfly expert have anything to add regarding perhaps dead bugs, microbes and what is found deep in the earths crust? Here is where we went off course. On a somewhat related topic, I read that because of global warming the arctic permafrost is melting and potentially releasing lots of previously frozen virus, bacteria, and ancient goop that could infect living things again. Is this in any way true? This is a different topic. The Siljan crater was formed about 360 million years ago, during the Devonian period; at that time what is now Sweden was in the tropics, not in the Arctic.
