It's one of those relative morality things. Do you let hundreds on the ship die to save thousands on land? But there's the added complication that you can also save most of the ones on the ship by getting them the hell off the ship.

Oh, come off it. Stop pretending you know what he had in mind. Even he doesn't know what he's going to think from one minute to the next. Which condemns the people confined to the ship. No, people are not normally quarantined in an environment where everybody is likely to become infected. You don't know his motivations. I'm not villifying Trump. I'm pointing out that his "plan" is not a good one. The planning should be left to people who know what they're doing.

On the contrary, any normal person would recognize that keeping people bottled up in an incubator of disease is a bad idea. That's why other nations - e.g. Canada - have been working to get the people OFF the cruise ships and bring them home.

But any normal person can see that that isn't the whole story. You can't just throw the cruise ship passengers under the bus. For days the Canadian news has been nothing but plans to get the people off the ships. Trump has no excuse for not knowing about the better solutions. I don't see how that's a different subject.

It's especially "funny" that you don't remember something you could blame on Obama.
