It's a simple question, but I remember when republicans proudly proclaimed
"Better Dead than Red"
So when did Republicans learn to hate Democrats more than Russia?
Enjoy

not sure that is even relevant any more.
The question about Russia or Communism or even Fascism may well be irrelevant and unimportant.
Today, once again, it is the question of Oligarchy, Democracy and Anarchy. Once the Supreme Court made bribing politicians not just legal but a Constitutional Right what we are seeing is yet again the world wide rise of the Oligarchies. It's based on marketing the concept that being wealthy is a sign of God's Approval and that YOU have the God Given right to rule; it doesn't much matter if it is the Russian Oligarchs, the Chinese Oligarchs, the European Oligarchs, the North Korean Oligarchs; it is the Divine Right of the Wealthy writ large.
Buckley and Citizens United spelled the end of Democracy in the US for this round and it appears that is what the US citizenship wants. Why should they worry, let the people God Anointed Rule.

Point confirmed
Faith's response confirms premise of the OP

Facts don't lie or have an agenda. Facts are just facts
"God did it" is not an argument. It is an excuse for intellectual laziness.
If your viewpoint has merits and facts to back it up why would you have to lie?

Quick, Sherman, to the Wayback Machine!
Actually, I still remember the 1990s and the Republicans' unreasoning visceral hatred of the Clintons. The question should be when the Republicans started hating Russia less.
And that was also the 1990s, when the Soviet Union collapsed and no longer posed a threat credible enough to gin up the fear and panic that conservatives require to keep their movement viable.
They've tried to create new existential enemies to replace their Communist boogey man, but the weakness of their efforts just leaves exposed their hatred of anyone who will tell them to their faces that they are wrong. It's the visible exposure of this hatred that's new, not the hatred itself.

For this generation of far-right nationalists, religion is not a question of ethical conduct; it is purely about identity and peoplehood. -- Jan-Werner Müller

Of course I can and already did: When they started lYining about the Ruissian collusion as I said.r
I don't believe you. I think you started earlier than than. You have always been on the attack on liberals and democrats for as long as I can remember.
Democrats had good cause to suspect collusion, with Russian hacking the election (yes they did) and with clandestine meetings between Baby Don and Russians, and with Donny carrying on with proposal to build tower in Moscow during election. Donny also asked Russia publicly in a rally to hack the rest of Hillary's emails ... which they did. There is also the matter of giving Russians democrat voting lists.
It seems that Mueller could not find evidence of collusion because the Trump campaign was incompetent, not because they didn't want to.
quote:
Mueller report: 5 things to know about Russian interference in U.S. elections
WASHINGTON — Special counsel Robert Mueller’s report into Russian meddling in the 2016 presidential campaign spelled out in elaborate detail a sophisticated, Kremlin-led operation to sow division in the U.S. and upend the election by using cyberattacks and social media as weapons.
The Russian operation was so successful, experts warn, they’ll almost certainly try again.
We’ve been focused on what has happened. We’ve focused almost nothing on how to prevent it in the future, said Michael McFaul, who served as the U.S. ambassador to Russia under President Barack Obama.
I think those are things we need to look at hard, McFaul said. Because time is short.
Here are five things to know about Russian election interference and its impact:
‘A significant escalation’
Mueller’s 448-page report, released to Congress and the public on April 18 after a nearly two-year investigation, provided the most comprehensive description to date of Russia’s efforts to boost Donald Trump’s campaign during the 2016 presidential election.
While the report detailed multiple contacts between Russian operatives and Trump associates during the campaign, investigators said they did not find evidence of a criminal conspiracy.
The Mueller report was not the first to warn of Russian meddling.
In January 2017, just two months after Trump was elected, the U.S. intelligence community reported that during the run-up to the election there had been a significant escalation by the Russians to interfere in U.S. domestic politics. The escalation was made possible by cyber-espionage and cyber-driven covert influence operations, the report said.
Time-tested strategy
Since the Cold War, Russia has worked to create a fractious West that no longer poses an existential threat.
And that has often meant trying to influence U.S. elections, a time-tested strategy that can be traced back to at least 1964, when the Russians sought to undermine Republican Barry Goldwater’s presidential campaign.
In 1983, the KGB undertook a massive campaign to discredit Ronald Reagan by labeling him a warmonger and arguing that re-electing him would be a grave mistake.
Moscow understood under Reagan that the U.S. was deadly serious about competing in this area, Jones said.
That has not been the case under Trump.
Mueller's report notes that several advisers recalled that, after his election, Trump viewed stories about his Russian connections, investigations and the intelligence community assessment of Russian interference "as a threat to the legitimacy of his electoral victory."
How they did it
During the 2016 election, Russia employed tactics it has been using closer to home to sow discord among its democratic neighbors in the Balkans and to expand its influence.
Before Russia annexed Crimea from Ukraine in 2014, for example, it had launched a cyber campaign in eastern Europe. Russia flooded news web sites in Ukraine with tens of thousands of comments during unrest there, according to a report by the non-profit Rand Corp.
In the United States, the Russians bought $100,000 Facebook ads and bombarded Twitter accounts that boosted Trump and disparaged the Democratic candidate, Hillary Clinton. The Russians unleashed another weapon in their unconventional arsenal: cyber espionage, stealing emails and disseminating them to embarrass Democrats.
The Russian aim, according to Mueller’s report, was helping elect Trump because of a belief that it would benefit Moscow's interests.
Regardless, "the investigation did not establish that members of the Trump Campaign conspired or coordinated with the Russian government in its election interference activities," the report concluded.
Were they successful?
At least in the short to mid-term, they were fairly successful in achieving a number of their objectives, said Jones, who is an expert on Russian disinformation.
What the Mueller report made clear, Jones said, is this was about trying to foment polarization in the U.S. before the election and has continued since and has surrounded major issues from the #MeToo movement to Black Lives Matter to gun control.
The Russians wanted to weaken the United States. because they view a period of significant internal discord as weakening us both at home and overseas, Jones said.
The benefit for them, he said, is that internal partisan discord can stall a range of U.S. domestic and foreign policy decisions, such as the withdrawal of U.S. troops from Syria and Afghanistan.
"This is much, much bigger than elections, Jones said.
Russia did interfere in the election. They will interfere in the next one, and instead of working to prevent that the republicans have done nothing and blocked legislation that would help.
Conclusion: republicans want Russia to interfere in 2020 to help them steal another election.
The party that lies the most is the GOP. One only has to look and the GOP lies during the hearings, repeating Russian propaganda when it has been discredited.
Enjoy
