It's a simple question, but I remember when republicans proudly proclaimed
"Better Dead than Red"
So when did Republicans learn to hate Democrats more than Russia?

Of course I can and already did: When they started lYining about the Ruissian collusion as I said.r
I don't believe you. I think you started earlier than than. You have always been on the attack on liberals and democrats for as long as I can remember.
Democrats had good cause to suspect collusion, with Russian hacking the election (yes they did) and with clandestine meetings between Baby Don and Russians, and with Donny carrying on with proposal to build tower in Moscow during election. Donny also asked Russia publicly in a rally to hack the rest of Hillary's emails ... which they did. There is also the matter of giving Russians democrat voting lists.
It seems that Mueller could not find evidence of collusion because the Trump campaign was incompetent, not because they didn't want to.
quote:
Mueller report: 5 things to know about Russian interference in U.S. elections
WASHINGTON — Special counsel Robert Mueller’s report into Russian meddling in the 2016 presidential campaign spelled out in elaborate detail a sophisticated, Kremlin-led operation to sow division in the U.S. and upend the election by using cyberattacks and social media as weapons.
The Russian operation was so successful, experts warn, they’ll almost certainly try again.
We’ve been focused on what has happened. We’ve focused almost nothing on how to prevent it in the future, said Michael McFaul, who served as the U.S. ambassador to Russia under President Barack Obama.
I think those are things we need to look at hard, McFaul said. Because time is short.
Here are five things to know about Russian election interference and its impact:
‘A significant escalation’
Mueller’s 448-page report, released to Congress and the public on April 18 after a nearly two-year investigation, provided the most comprehensive description to date of Russia’s efforts to boost Donald Trump’s campaign during the 2016 presidential election.
While the report detailed multiple contacts between Russian operatives and Trump associates during the campaign, investigators said they did not find evidence of a criminal conspiracy.
The Mueller report was not the first to warn of Russian meddling.
In January 2017, just two months after Trump was elected, the U.S. intelligence community reported that during the run-up to the election there had been a significant escalation by the Russians to interfere in U.S. domestic politics. The escalation was made possible by cyber-espionage and cyber-driven covert influence operations, the report said.
Time-tested strategy
Since the Cold War, Russia has worked to create a fractious West that no longer poses an existential threat.
And that has often meant trying to influence U.S. elections, a time-tested strategy that can be traced back to at least 1964, when the Russians sought to undermine Republican Barry Goldwater’s presidential campaign.
In 1983, the KGB undertook a massive campaign to discredit Ronald Reagan by labeling him a warmonger and arguing that re-electing him would be a grave mistake.
Moscow understood under Reagan that the U.S. was deadly serious about competing in this area, Jones said.
That has not been the case under Trump.
Mueller's report notes that several advisers recalled that, after his election, Trump viewed stories about his Russian connections, investigations and the intelligence community assessment of Russian interference "as a threat to the legitimacy of his electoral victory."
How they did it
During the 2016 election, Russia employed tactics it has been using closer to home to sow discord among its democratic neighbors in the Balkans and to expand its influence.
Before Russia annexed Crimea from Ukraine in 2014, for example, it had launched a cyber campaign in eastern Europe. Russia flooded news web sites in Ukraine with tens of thousands of comments during unrest there, according to a report by the non-profit Rand Corp.
In the United States, the Russians bought $100,000 Facebook ads and bombarded Twitter accounts that boosted Trump and disparaged the Democratic candidate, Hillary Clinton. The Russians unleashed another weapon in their unconventional arsenal: cyber espionage, stealing emails and disseminating them to embarrass Democrats.
The Russian aim, according to Mueller’s report, was helping elect Trump because of a belief that it would benefit Moscow's interests.
Regardless, "the investigation did not establish that members of the Trump Campaign conspired or coordinated with the Russian government in its election interference activities," the report concluded.
Were they successful?
At least in the short to mid-term, they were fairly successful in achieving a number of their objectives, said Jones, who is an expert on Russian disinformation.
What the Mueller report made clear, Jones said, is this was about trying to foment polarization in the U.S. before the election and has continued since and has surrounded major issues from the #MeToo movement to Black Lives Matter to gun control.
The Russians wanted to weaken the United States. because they view a period of significant internal discord as weakening us both at home and overseas, Jones said.
The benefit for them, he said, is that internal partisan discord can stall a range of U.S. domestic and foreign policy decisions, such as the withdrawal of U.S. troops from Syria and Afghanistan.
"This is much, much bigger than elections, Jones said.
Russia did interfere in the election. They will interfere in the next one, and instead of working to prevent that the republicans have done nothing and blocked legislation that would help.
Conclusion: republicans want Russia to interfere in 2020 to help them steal another election.
The party that lies the most is the GOP. One only has to look and the GOP lies during the hearings, repeating Russian propaganda when it has been discredited.

What nonsense.
The Mueller report documented numerous cases of Russian interference.

Thanks for again proving my point:
Message 19: These are facts that you can confirm by reading the report (and not some biased filtered version).
(many links to different parts of the report)
Each Chapter and subchapter can be individually downloaded or viewed online if you go to the volume links.
Facts, not conspiracy theory fantasy pushed by GOP apologists and deniers.
Read them, heed them, as you wish, but don't ignore them or dismiss them or you lose the argument.
Evidently you didn't bother to read the report.
The Mueller report documented numerous cases of Russian interference.
BUT NO INVOLVEMENT BY THE TRUMP CAMPAIGN.
Wrong. Mueller said insufficient evidence of conspiracy to charge them but enough that he couldn't clear them either. He left that to congress to pursue ... which brings us to the impeachment hearings and the current discussion of whether or not to include information from the Mueller report in the charges.
See next for more.
And documented several cases of questionable actions by Trump/minions.
You START with "questionable actions" looking for evidence of actual wrongdoing that can be criminally charged. THEY FOUND NOTHING TO CHARGE HIM WITH, WHICH IN OUR LEGAL SYSTEM MEANS HE WASW FOUND "NOT GUILTY." EXONERATED. WHAT IS THE MATTER WITH YOU PEOPLE?
No, he was not exonerated of conspiracy, Mueller specifically said that he could NOT exonerate them.
What's wrong with us is that we look at evidence, what is actually said/written. Not what right wing echo chambers make up and say.
Here's part of the report you didn't read:
quote:
Russian Government Links to and Contacts With the Trump Campaign
Mueller Report Volume I
Pages 74 - 181 of the the Mueller Report.
Chapters

Note that that is 106 pages of documents of regarding contacts between Russia and the Trump campaign. There were a lot of them, and a lot of them were questionable for a political campaign.
For instance, Baby Don meeting with Russian in the Trump Tower and saying that if the Russians had dirt on Hillary that they were interested. Not evidence of conspiracy per se but also not exonerating him of working with the Russians to get dirt on Hillary for campaign purposes.
Kind of sounds like what he wanted from Ukraine about Biden ...
And documented several cases of obstruction of justice.
IF OBSTRUCTION OF JUSTICE HAD BEEN FOUND THEY WOULD HAVE LISTED IT AS STARR LISTED CLINTON'S FELONIES, AS A CRIME HE COULD BE CHARGED WI6TH. THEY WOULDN'T HAVE NEEDED ANY MORE TO IMPEACH HIM, THEY WOULDN'T HAVE NEEDED THE BOGUS
WHISTLEBLOWER" FIASCO. THEY FOUND NO OBSTRUCTION OF JUSTICE. WHAT IS THE MATTER WITH YOU PEOPLE?
Again they found many instances of obstruction of justice -- volume II which you haven't read is all about the instances of obstruction of justice. Mueller didn't indict him because he was operating on the understanding that he couldn't indict a sitting president, so he provided the information for the Congress to determine if there were impeachable offenses ... which again brings us to the impeachment hearings and the current discussion of whether or not to include information from the Mueller report in the charges.
Again from the Mueller report that you haven't read, as detailed in Message 19:
Message 19:
quote:
Volume II

    • Legal Framework of Obstruction of Justice [ View Online] [ Download]
Investigative and Evidentiary Considerations [ View Online] [ Download]

    • Statutory Defenses to the Application of Obstruction-of-Justice Provisions to the Conduct Under Investigation [ View Online] [ Download]
    • Constitutional Defenses to Applying Obstruction-of-Justice Statutes to Presidential Conduct [ View Online] [ Download]
  • Conclusion

Note: Each Chapter and subchapter can be individually downloaded or viewed online if you go to the volume links.
Each one of those 12 instances listed under "Factual Results of the Obstruction Investigation" are instances of obstruction of justice.
Documented just as they were for Clinton in the Starr report.
are facts...
WHAT IS THE MATTER WITH YOU PEOPLE?
What's wrong with us is that we look at the actual evidence, what is actually said/written. Not what right wing echo chambers make up and say, and certainly not what prevaricating Trump says.
Curiously, I compare Trump to Nixon ... and Trump is worse, and I compare Trump to Clinton ... and Trump is worse.
If their offenses warranted impeachment then so does Trump.
But, again, you'll deny and ignore ... because you can't handle the truth.
So Democrats are not lying about the Mueller Report -- you have been shown to be in error on this.
So no, you do not hate Democrats for lying about the Mueller Report. Facts aren't lies.
Enjoy

Re: Weasel words, not justice
... If you have "insufficient evidence ...to charge" ANYTHING, that means you've found the defendant NOT GUILTY. That is how our legal system works. ...
So Al Capone was innocent until he was charged with tax evasion. No murders or mob hustling at all, just a mistake on his tax form.
Fascinating.

... The Ukrainians DID interfere in the election for Hillary, it's not propaganda. ...
It is Russian propaganda, every intelligence organization in the free world agrees that it is Russian propaganda and that there was NO interference in the election from Ukraine. Brits, French, Australian, etc concur.
Also we now have the useful conclusion from AG Barrs little waste of time investigation into the FBI, contacting foreign intelligence and going through our own intelligence service, that there was no plot on the FBI to investigate Trump, just his paranoia. That same paranoia that leads him to think that an individual saying an individual opinion of Trump during the election that he was a lousy candidate means that the whole of Ukraine was plotting to undermine his campaign. Of course it had nothing to do with Trump saying that the Crimea should belong to Russia instead of Ukraine like the rest of the world thought.
There is no cloudstrike either. That's a #rightwingnutjob conspiracy fantasy.
Russia interefered also.
As in also Saudi Arabia, and China, more of Trumps friends in high places. Because it's okay if they do it on his behalf but an evil plot if it's against him.

Re: Weasel words, not justice
Besides admitting that Trump had clearly said he did not want a quid pro quo, all he wanted was for Zelensky to do the right thing, SONDLAND ALSO SAID HE "PRESUMED" IT, HE DID NOT KNOW IT, HE DIDN'T EVEN HEAR IT, HE "PRESUMED" IT. This is worse than hearsay, he made it up entirely in his own head and admitted it under interrogation.
Again, not completely true. After the overheard phone call from Sondland to Trump he told the aide that Trump was only interested in "the big things" ... the aide asked if that meant the Ukraine because a lot of big things were happening there with the war, and Sondland said "No, big things like the Biden investigation" ...
Here's from Fox2now (no liberal bias):
quote:
Watch a replay of Gordon Sondland testify during Trump impeachment hearing
Update Your Browser | Facebook
{Sondland testimony starts at 24:38}
Tim Morrison, a former National Security Council official, told investigators that he came to understand that Sondland wasn’t acting on his own volition, but instead at Trump’s direction. Morrison said he knows of approximately five times Sondland had talked directly with Trump between July 25 and September 11, when the nearly $400 million in US military aid was finally released.
He related to me he was acting he was discussing these matters with the President, Morrison said of Sondland.
Expect Democrats and Republicans to zero in on one conversation in particular between Sondland and Trump. On July 26, according to testimony from aide David Holmes, Sondland called Trump while in a restaurant. The call was so loud, Holmes could hear the President through the phone asking about the future of the investigations.
Holmes testified he’d never seen anything like the call before.
This was an extremely distinctive experience in my foreign service career, Holmes said in his closed-door deposition. I’ve never seen anything like this, someone calling the President from a mobile phone at a restaurant, and then having a conversation of this level of candor, colorful language. There’s just so much about the call that was so remarkable that I remember it vividly.
In the call, Sondland told Trump that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky loves your ass, and he said that the Ukrainians were willing to move ahead with announcing the investigations.
In his deposition, Holmes said Sondland later told him that Trump doesn’t give a s—t about Ukraine, and that his primary focus was on the big stuff like the Biden investigation that Giuliani is pushing.
This is discussed at 1:25:00
What Holmes heard from Trump and from Sondland is evidence.
This is also covered by this youtube excerpt of just the Democrat Counsel's questioning of Sondland, specifically starting at t=9m
at 16:30 he describes it as quid pro quo.
Note that Sondland was not allowed to reference his emails and phone logs by the Secretary of State, so he is going solely on his memory and the evidence from others.

Re: Weasel words, not justice
Logical deductions are not worse than hearsay.
We KNOW there is a link from Trump to Giulliani from a number of sources, including his written statement in the phone call letter. We know that he told others to "talk to Rudy" when the subject of releasing the aid came up. Including Sondland and Taylor and Zelenski.
We KNOW that Rudy told Sondland that both the white house meeting and aid release were predicated on public announcement by Zelenski to initiate an investigation into Biden and 2016 interference, ie - "the deliverables"
We KNOW that the claim that it was pending an investigation into corruption is bogus because:
  1. the aid was released 2 days after the House investigation was announced with no evidence of any corruption investigation being completed (to meet the need to release the hold), and
  2. the reason given to the OMB was that the hold was pending Ukraine getting aid from other countries, and
  3. there was no indication that any other countries had been requested or received (to meet the need to release the hold)
When you have two entirely different, contradictory "excuses" for holding the aid and then having the aid suddenly released without ceremony and without either "excuse" being met before the aid was suddenly released with no explanation other than the House had initiated a hearing on the matter and that Trumpty was caught with his tiny hand in the cookie jar ... it doesn't take a rocket scientist to connect the dots.
It's what's called Circumstantial Evidence, rather than second hand anecdotal evidence (as republicans keep trying to say)
quote:
Circumstantial Evidence is also known as indirect evidence. It is distinguished from direct evidence, which, if believed, proves the existence of a particular fact without any inference or presumption required. Circumstantial evidence relates to a series of facts other than the particular fact sought to be proved. The party offering circumstantial evidence argues that this series of facts, by reason and experience, is so closely associated with the fact to be proved that the fact to be proved may be inferred simply from the existence of the circumstantial evidence.
The following examples illustrate the difference between direct and circumstantial evidence: If John testifies that he saw Tom raise a gun and fire it at Ann and that Ann then fell to the ground, John's testimony is direct evidence that Tom shot Ann. If the jury believes John's testimony, then it must conclude that Tom did in fact shoot Ann. If, however, John testifies that he saw Tom and Ann go into another room and that he heard Tom say to Ann that he was going to shoot her, heard a shot, and saw Tom leave the room with a smoking gun, then John's testimony is circumstantial evidence from which it can be inferred that Tom shot Ann. The jury must determine whether John's testimony is credible.
Circumstantial evidence is most often employed in criminal trials. Many circumstances can create inferences about an accused's guilt in a criminal matter, including the accused's resistance to arrest; the presence of a motive or opportunity to commit the crime; the accused's presence at the time and place of the crime; any denials, evasions, or contradictions on the part of the accused; and the general conduct of the accused. In addition, much Scientific Evidence is circumstantial, because it requires a jury to make a connection between the circumstance and the fact in issue. For example, with fingerprint evidence, a jury must make a connection between this evidence that the accused handled some object tied to the crime and the commission of the crime itself.
The multiple attempts by Trump to block investigations into Russian interference cited in the Mueller report and his directive to State Department Officials and White House aides to ignore lawful subpoenas are also circumstantial evidence of his guilt. It's called cover-up, and cover-up is what got Nixon impeached.
We have means, motive and opportunity.
We also KNOW that no White House meeting was held either (just an aside during a meeting at the UN that both attended).
‘No Pressure,’ Trump Insists, While Sitting With Ukraine’s Zelensky at U.N. – Rolling Stone
We also KNOW that a scheduled interview between Zelenski and CNN was cancelled by Zelenski after the news of the House investigation broke.
Zelensky Was Set To Announce Biden Probe On CNN, Then Congress Pressed For Aid: Report | HuffPost Latest News
CNN host Fareed Zakaria was set to interview Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky until scandal took shape | CNN Politics
quote:
"We had been negotiating with President Zelensky and his office for a while, for months, to try to get an interview with him anyway, ever since he was elected President," Zakaria, host of "Fareed Zakaria GPS," told Baldwin.
Once news of the whistleblower's complaint surfaced, "it became clear to us that the interview was off," he continued.
The Times reported that the decision to unfreeze the aid to Ukraine erased the need for Zelensky's televised appearance.
Almost all of Zelensky's aides supported the planned announcement on the show, one of the officials who debated the issue told the Times. They agreed that American military aid and diplomatic support during upcoming peace talks were worth the risk of seeming to support Trump in the American political process, the paper reported.
So we know that both "deliverables" had been set up, but they ended when the news of the House investigation broke.
Now Dems could ask those Ukraine aides to testify if they wanted more evidence. Presumably they would also link Rudy in the plot.
Curiously, I have no problem with stepping back a bit and getting some subpoenas tested in court and getting some Ukrainians to testify, and not just Parnas ...
Lev Parnas Helped Rep. Devin Nunes’ Investigations
Get both sides of the story.
And it would be interesting to get Nunes to testify under oath about his "investigation" that he tried to push onto Dr Fiona Hill.
Enjoy

add the other deliverable - the announcement on CNN
Here is the timeline, and Obama did give aid to Ukraine.
Now add the other "deliverable" -- the public announcement by Zelenski on CNN that Ukraine is opening an investigation into Biden, cloudstrike and Ukraine interference in the 2016 election.

CNN host was set to interview Ukrainian President until scandal took shape
CNN host Fareed Zakaria said on Thursday that he had been set to interview Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky before news about the Ukrainian's call with President Donald Trump broke.
The New York Times reported on Thursday that Zelensky had planned to announce an investigation into Trump's political rivals during a September interview on CNN, but those plans had been scrapped once Trump released promised security aid. Zakaria told CNN's Brooke Baldwin on Thursday that the interview had been months in the making, but it fell apart when the Ukraine scandal began to unfold -- though CNN did not cancel it.

Again, cancelled with no reason given and the only connection is the announced investigation into the whistleblower report.
Trumpty caught with his tiny hands in the cookie jar and crumbs on his jacket.
and like a child, saying "I didn't do it" ... with the evidence swirling around him.
