You can have all the concerns you want about the marriage of two people from different cultural backgrounds. But does your concern mean that they shouldn't have the right to get married if they want to?If I ever want to get married, the idea that I would need the approval of anyone other than the girl I'd be marrying scares the Hell out of me.

No... you're missing the point. The idea that I would not have the right to marry her without the approval of others is what scares me.I'm not saying it wouldn't be nice to have other peoples' approval. But ultimately the only two people who have to approve would be me and her. The idea that anyone else would have a say in it is a frightening one.
