There is a biblical law against dressing as the opposite sex.
Deuteronomy 22:5 writes: A woman shall not wear a man’s garment, nor shall a man put on a woman’s cloak, for whoever does these things is an abomination to the Lord your God. jar writes: sex is NOT given by God, nor are male & female to only choices, Genesis 1:27: So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. Gen 6:19And of every living thing of all flesh, two of every sort shalt thou bring into the ark, to keep them alive with thee; they shall be male and female. Edited by Faith, : No reason given. Faith writes: There is a biblical law against dressing as the opposite sex. Even if true that is simply yet another sign of the utter ignorance of many American Christians. Biblical Laws do not apply in the US thank God! BUT, I note that you did not address either my post or the quote from Jack Idiots complaint. There was no mention of dress or any possible way to determine if a transgender person is wearing clothes of the opposite sex except in the CCoI Fantasy World that is totally divorced from reality. There is a biblical law forbidding clothes from 2 diferent kinds of fabric. What does the tag on your shirt say its made of.
Cotton and syntetics omg Repent Leviticus 19:19 says, Keep my decrees. Do not mate different kinds of animals. Do not plant your field with two kinds of seed. Do not wear clothing woven of two kinds of material. And Deuteronomy 22:9—11 commands, Do not plant two kinds of seed in your vineyard; if you do, not only the crops you plant but also the fruit of the vineyard will be defiled. Do not plow with an ox and a donkey yoked together. Do not wear clothes of wool and linen woven together.Christianity, One woman's lie about an affair that got seriously out of hand What are the Christians gonna do to me ..... Forgive me, good luck with that.

That is a symbolic law which is not binding now, just as the food laws only applied to Israel as symbolic of the idolatries they were to avoid. The laws I'm quoting are moral laws which are still binding. This has been answered a million times here already.

the cake was explicitly requested as a celebration of being transgender.

Which again has absolutely nothing to do with wearing clothes of the opposite sex except in the Fantasy World of the Christian Cult of Ignorance.
AND, God's Laws are irrelevant in the US Thank God. And the Bible says even common courtesy (something unknown in the Christian Cult of Ignorance) is sufficient reason to violate and ignore God's Laws.

Biblical law underlies western law, but even if that weren't the case Christians must obey God when there is a conflict with secular law.
And your third statement is false. Edited by Faith, : No reason given.

Faith writes: And your third statement is false. Again, we have been down this path before and you are simply once again misrepresenting the Bible. In the story of Naaman he is told that he can go with his master into another God's temple to worship and even Jesus said if your ass is in a crack on the Sabbath you don't wait until the next day to pull it out.

That concerns survival not courtesy, and certainly does not apply to transgenderism.
And acts of mercy are always permitted on the Sabbath, they are not in the category of the forbidden work. There are various interpretations of Naaman's situation too, but my guess would be that it wouldn't be long before the Holy Spirit so convicted him of supporting the idolatry of his nation that he'd have to find other work or accept martyrdom. In moving ahead on this new case, the government is yet again confirming that it applies its law in an arbitrary and unequal way, which the Supreme Court has already said it cannot do. Of course, the Alliance Defending Freedom is being disingenuous here. Six justices on the Court clearly stated that Colorado does have the authority to protect the rights of gay, lesbian, and transgender citizens to buy goods and services on the same terms as others. Regardless of who fills Kennedy's seat, if Chief Justice Roberts was sincere in joining the majority opinion, then there is at least a five justice majority that will uphold Colorado's Civil Rights Commission's decision. (Unless Trump gets to replace another justice, say Ginsburg.) But a majority ruled that the comments made by Civil Rights Commission and the Colorado Supreme Court showed their rulings were tainted by (anti-)religious bias; the fact that the Court ruled in favor of Trump's Muslim ban in Hawaii v Trump despite Trump's comments showing obvious religious bias makes me doubt Roberts' sincerity. The issues in that case were significantly different, though, so who knows? At any rate, here are the possibilities I see if this case makes it to the Supreme Court: The Tenth Circuit upholds the Civil Rights Commission's decision and the Supreme Court refuses an appeal from that ruling. Roberts was sincere when he joined the majority in Masterpiece and Ginsburg lives long enough to take part in the decision when this current case reaches the Supreme Court. The Court rules against Phillips. The Court rules in favor of Phillips but decides that this case is more like the anti-gay cakes requested by William Jack than it is like Craig and Mullins' wedding cake. The one I think is most probable (but I would only bet even money): The court rules once again that Phillips' religious beliefs are special, and that Christian social conservatives have special privileges to pick and choose which laws they have to obey.Oh, God! How you determine which Old testament laws are binding now? Only the moral laws are binding, that is, those based on the Ten Commandments. Everything related to sex and sexuality is discussed in the Law as under the commandment against adultery.

You really haven't read the Bible it seems. The issue of Naaman going with his master to worship Rimmon had nothing to do with survival.
quote: And then, as always and just like all the apologists, you rewrite and add to what is actually written in the Bible to make it agree with the fantasy your cult has created.

Adultery isn't about sex. It is a bit of both actually. I understand that the wording of the 10 commandments seem to make it about property, but the fact that men could also commit adultery means it wasn't just about men's property. And of course, men were not women's property. Under a government which imprisons any unjustly, the true place for a just man is also in prison. Thoreau: Civil Disobedience (1846) "Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to breathe free, the wretched refuse of your teeming shore. Send these, the homeless, tempest-tossed to me, I lift my lamp beside the golden door! We got a thousand points of light for the homeless man. We've got a kinder, gentler, machine gun hand.
