Re: the problem
Here's an example of the problem: how do I prove that the remarks Trump has made that are called racist aren't in fact racist? I know they are not, yes I know it, but the spin is very convincing to some
You cannot prove it just by saying that you know it. What you would do instead is offer an argument for your position. Your argument might include an explanation of why the examples of racism others present are not racism, examples of things he has done that indicate that he is not racist, and arguments that he did not do the racist things.
Of course, you might expect rebuttals of your arguments. You could try to rebut the rebuttals. I would expect that if the discussion ever got that far, you'd have long since returned to just calling us Liberal Nazi fascists and claiming that we were trying to shut you up using Maoist tactics.
So it is probably not worth the trouble of going through all of that. Just do you.

I know. That begs the question of why you are here posting in debate forums when debating is not what you care to do. Wouldn't you be happier exchanging words with like-minded people who already believe exactly as you do?

Agreed, so why do you never bring anything but unsupported assertions, innuendo, misrepresentation and patently false material?
To convince anyone you need to bring something with substance and worth.

Why does there have to be an "opposing" point of view at all? Why can't you grasp the idea of looking at the news objectively, without a lot of preconceived ideological baggage?

Re: the problem
Well, the only reason I bother with the internet is to interact with "opposing points of view". It would be a shame if you weren't around any more.

I could certainly ask my opponents the same question. Very few of the "facts" that are reported in the news stand as simple facts.

For reasons I believe I've given clearly enough, I'm content if I can simply state my opinion to get it on the table.

I've told you before, I only go by Trump's own words. I don't pay any attention to commentators.
Out of his own mouth and tweety-fingers, he's an idiot, a racist, a misogynist, a liar, an ignoramus, etc. If news sources, fake or otherwise have noticed the same thing, that might be because it's true.
And by the way, I actually agree with Trump on a couple of things, so don't accuse me of being an ideologue.

No one has ever questioned the fact that you have an opinion but the issue is "Why do you hold that opinions? What is the evidence to support such an opinion or give it any validity beyond just being your opinion?"

Based on your whining about your reception, we know that you are not content. But why start a whole new thread if you don't really want to discuss anything? You could have posted this stuff to one of the existing threads.

This is nave at best. It is Trump's own words that get misinterpreted, taken out of context and so on. This happens to me ALL THE TIME here, I mean ALL the time, the times anyone gets what I mean add up to about, oh, half a dozen over all the years I've posted here, so there's nothing odd about it happening to Trump, especially when those reporting on him or reacting to him hold a leftist worldview that completely opposes his worldview.
If news sources, fake or otherwise have noticed the same thing, that might be because it's true.
Not with a leftist press, no.
And by the way, I actually agree with Trump on a couple of things, so don't accuse me of being an ideologue.
Well, but the rest of what you said is pretty standard leftist.

How can I misinterpret what I actually see him say on video? What did I misinterpret when he said he had the largest crowd ever on inauguration day? What has that got to do with my worldview?
